hi well ive suffered chronic pain in my lower back and ive under gone a spinal fusion of which i have 2 metal rods and 6 screws of which ive had this pain for 4 years now of which it got worse when one of the discs punctured my spinal cored and trapped my nerves around my spine of which i was driving at the time and i lost all sensation in my legs downwards.i suggest to you to ask your doctor to have a MRI scan to see your problem in your back as its probably a prolapse disc which is pinching on the nerves which causes pains down legs pins and needles and loss of balance.well get back to me and i tell you more or if you like any advise.

Back pain - Physiotherapy is the best for any back problems.
Your back bone has to be in the right place. According to me it is the pinching of the nerves that create so much pain. You should consult a physiotherapist who will recommend certain push up exercises which keep the back bone straight and in its place. This has to be a gradual process. In the meantime you can foment your back with a hot water bag and apply sumo gel a gel which is very soothing. Plese do not take any pain killes as they will harm you in the long run.

Check your bed - maybe its too soft or too hard. Check how you sleep, sometimes if you sleep with someone or some thing you can get twisted as you sleep. (my cats are known to do this to me.) Make sure you are sitting right in chairs, not slumped. Since the doctors have eliminated anything "mechanical" wrong in your back, start looking for soft tissue issues - I know my back can hurt when my fibromyalgia acts up...
