The athletes competed in events such as snowboarding and ice climbing. 1998 the first Asian X Games were held in Phuket, Thailand. 2001 the first European X Games were held in Barcelona,Spain. 2002 the first Latin American XGames were held in Rio de Janeiro,Brazil.
