Is directory submission benefial in generating traffic

i write articles for various sites and looking out ways to promote and earn from my articles. So i want to ask people here on mylot if article Directory submission is helpful for generating traffic. i work hard and have linked my articles to signatures and profiles but i really would love to know if article directory is a positive way of promoting my articles.

it depends on the traffic that website generates. You should not bother will people come or not to your website. You do your good work it will increase your experience if nothing else.
I have decided that i will only work on my articles on my blog and will not think anything else now. visit my blog if you like.
