This was on a list of rejected gifts but I think it's a cute idea. There are alot of serious grillers out there. Check my neighbor kitty corner to me he's part of a BBQ'n team & even has a grill so big it's on WHEELS (a trailer)! I bet he'd appreciate it as well as the guy who does the BBQ University tv show. Too bad it wasn't cheaper perhaps a gift for our steak grill'n hubbies?

Yeah probably not for fish. But for steaks it would be neat or something else where the meat stays intact even after cooking. Grilling is awsome! Though we only make a few things ourselves on it, there's that show called BBQ University on PBS that guy makes EVERYTHING you can imagine on a grill! Lots of great tips on it.

I"m sure there are many people out there w/ more money than sense. Unfortunatly, I happen to have more sense & not much money.

Hi 3SB..I think that a branding iron is a great idea for a gift. I dont know any guy that likes to grill that wouldn't get a kick out of putting his initials on a piece of meat..(that could be taken the wrong way!!) Maybe not for a guy or girl that only grills for their family but for people who entertain a lot, absolutely. It is a little pricey but I'm sure if you shopped around, it could be found cheaper..Cute idea indeed..Merry Christmas to you and yours.. J

Yes I agree that could definatly be taken the wrong way too I suppose! My hubby would love it, too bad for him it's more than I could swing. But it would be awsome for those who entertain or compete with their grilling.

I think that is one of the cutest ideas that I've seen in a while. My husband likes to use the grill and so does my father-in-law and if money was not an issue I think that I would get each of them one. It would be even greater for my father-in-law than for my husband because my FIL loves to have cookouts during the warm months of the year where he will invite us as well as his neighbors over to enjoy the food that he has cooked. Besides that, he used to be in the military so I really think that he would enjoy branding steaks.
