The DVD of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (6) came out recently, and it features the first official preview of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I haven't gotten the DVD, but I saw the preview from it on some one's blog. w

I'm getting the DVD for christmas so I'm yet to know about the preview, but i am ecstatic! Its wonderful to see the films coming to a climx, but I AM so glad they've split the last.. I was heart broken when the final book was published.. I don't know how I'm going to exist without films to look forward to! Hopefully JKR will decide on making her next move as an author once the films are completed.. My life has always had Harry, Ron, Hermione (and Draco) in it.. I don't want them to go!!

lol, it will be sad once all the films come out and are done with. I also hope that JK Rowling will come up with something new and good by that time!

I agree, you know that last bit of deathly hallows? [doesn't want to ruin it for those who haven't read the book] I wanted to know more! It sounded brilliant, like a whole new idea! oh well.. I'm sure she will create something brilliant.

Even I am a big fan of Harry Potter series... I have read all the books twice. The books are definitely better as they can present the things in detail. But I liked the first four movies also. Only the fifth one I did not like that much. I do not know but may be when the actors were kids they were able to attract the audience better. But even then I am waiting for the release of the seventh part. Hope it will be good.

Hai it is a news to me. I have to buy the DVD then. Do you mean by Official preview that the first part of the Deathly Hallows is already picturised? Where can I see the preview in the internet?

I've read the whole series. I just dont see how there is enough in the last book to make TWO movies out of. It was a slow and boring book to me.

Is there any difference between the DVD version and the movie one. I love this movie, and i can't wait for the last two. I was upset that Dumbledore got killed in Harry potter 6, but i read a thread saying that he would die anyway because of the curse or something.

I saw that a couple people hadn't seen the trailer yet so here's a link: http://www.cinemagia.ro/trailer/harry-potter-and-the-deathly-hallows-part-i-harry-potter-si-talismanele-4491/ It's on a French website so if you don't read French all you're going to get out of it is the trailer but the trailer is in English. And I agree with you...you can't compare the books to the movies and ever expect to fully enjoy the movies. If you experience them as two separate things then there is much to be enjoyed about both. If they adapted every word of the books into the movies, the movies would be four hours long!

I wondered why you wrote Harry Potter 8 because there are only seven books. Now I know why. The last book is going to be split into two movies. I think that's great because that way they would be able to cover almost everything in the book. I'm one of those people who think the movies are not great. I know that books are usually better than movies, but it is possible to make a good movie based on a really good book. Just look at the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I think the makers of the Harry Potter movies could have done better. Maybe the movies would have been better if Disney had made them.

Yeah, I admit it, the first two or three parts of the movie are great and had watched them in the movies. But the successive episodes doesn't have the magic anymore to me. Thats why I have resolve to buying the Book itself and read them. And I found it more exciting reading the book rather than watching the movie itself.

Yay!!! I can't believe that the book will be split into two different movies! That makes me really happy! Hopefully they'll really give some justice to the book, and not leave out too many parts! That was the most annoying thing about the fifth movie; there wasn't even any quidditch! That made me really sad... :(!
