Crappy Job!

I started to work for this cleaning company a week ago and it was not even paying 8 dollars an hour o.m.g. I just did it because I am so far behind on bills and could not find anything at the time so I took it and let me tell you it was like working in a prison camp! I have clened hoses before and nothing in the world like this! They make you clean [mop] the floors on your hands and knees and these houses were well over 5,000 square feet! They were like mansion homes! And if they catch you with the mop they smart off to you in a very rude way! And I swear I worked so many hours last week including Saturday and they said we would get off early and I did not get home until almost 8 p.m. and started at 7.30 am. And cleaned 5-6 mansions each day! And Saturday when I was cleaning the floor my knee made a cracking sound and started burning inside and the stupid girl asked me real smart-a you know in front of the customers why are you not on your knees cleaning the floor I felt like slapping the b!
So I called in this morning and told the lady I can hardly walk all weekend and today and I am waiting to see when I can get in to my doctor and she said if you don't come in today you will be terminated! W.T.F. Please let me go do me a favor! L.O.L.!
What do you think of this and what would you do?

I'd think that there MUST be a better way of earning a living! I took a job I didnt really want because I needed a regular income to pay household bills but what you've been doing sounds like slave labour. I bet the people standing around telling you what to do are making a hefty profit from your labour. If you can possibly get by without that income I'd tell them exactly where they could stick their job and take them to a tribunal for your injury. Do you have Health & Safety at work regulations or some Workers Rights organisation who could assist you? Doing that job could cause permanent damage which could affect your whole life. Take care

When I go to pickup my check I am sure I will have crutches and tell them where to stick it! Thanks for your response! And I think I already have permanent damage the nurse said I will probably have to have the fluid drained from ny knee. I don't komw wht they have they are so crappy they said if I was terminated or quit my pay would be dropped from 7.75 am hour to 6.55 an hour wish they say is mimimum wage B.S.!

My goodness this job sounds awful! I had a cleaning job a couple of years ago cleaning houses and I enjoyed it because I was my own boss and could pick and choose the customers the agency found for me but I had to stop doing after almost a year because it got too physically challenging and I lost a lot of weight and did not feel well due to exhaustion. My little cleaning job was hard work but nothing like the one you got there! Why are you not permitted to use a mop? Surely they are not allowed to fire you because you have a sore knee especially if you have a note from your doctor! Do you have some sort of tribunal in your country that you could complain to? In Australia we have a department we can lodge situations like this to and they look after our rights as workers. I would quit if it at all possible, I know you need the money and I appreciate that, believe me, but you deserve much better treatment than that!

I had called her yesterday morning and told her I am sorry I just got off the phone with doctor and I am still waiting to see him I just don't have the funds as of now so there is nothing I can do and she called back and said if you don't show up you are terminated. I thought to myself please do me a favor and let me out of this prison camp because now that I see how you work I would never work for that place if it was the last place on this earth! And another thing the girl that was training me was a B! she would drive over a 100 miles on the highway cussing at people to get out of her way and almost hit so many people it was ridiculous! And she said to one of the worker's there I hate this f'n job and said she had been there 5 years and was the field manager and then we we got in one of the houses she asked me if I liked the job I just rolled my eyes and said it's o.k. and and I asked her if she liked the job she said yes I like my job! Two faced! Then she said I have seen so many people come and go here and I said I wonder why! Other than that she was a real B! The third day I was there I thought I was going with her and she rudely yelled your'e not going with me! I thought thank God! And one day she told me I have had so much happen to me here. I asked her like what? She said I ruptured my spleen and I asked her how and she said it was from an accident in the van they use for the job, I thought hmmm I can see how the way you drive! So needles to say I don't work there anymore Thank God!
