I started an earlier discussion about the 2 Wii systems the wife and I bought as gifts this year. This photo shows my wife playing the bowling game on Wii. She has never been into video games but really loves the Wii. Are you into video games? Do you own a system? What kind of system is it then? HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

For some reason I have never gotten in to video games. I do enjoy playing games on the computer though. I read that the Wii system was one of the most popular gifts this season, so it must be very enjoyable! They have one for the residents at the assissted living facility where my mother lives and the residents really seem to enjoy it! My children always had video systems while growing up. I remember the Atari system! (yeah, I'm old as dirt!) They had the X-box and the x-box 360 too at some point.

I am 55 and still love video games. When I go out with my niece I am the sober cab and I play games at the bars too. I still have an old system from the early 70's. Cant recall but it is by Atari. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

We have a nintendo wii in our house and I love it. I tend to do exercise with it and I currently have a boxing keep fit one that is absolutely great. I want a cheerleading game and a dancing game after xmas! We also have a playstation 3 and an xbox 360, we are a bit of a gaming family!

The game is called "My Fitness Coach" and it is compatible with the wii board which you need. You either have to have a control and nunchuck with it or two controls. I prefer to use two controls with it but now I own a pair of boxing gloves that are compatible with it too and that makes it a much better experience!

I have one of my daughters here with me. They have had a Wii game a couple of years and they have brought it with them when they visit. We had a bowling tournament last night. I love it too. I don't do as well as the children but I didn't embarrass myself either...I was once a champion bowler. They made me do the Wii fitness test and I thought I did ok. The baseball was the hardest. How embarrassing...my fitness age is 66!!!

I know a few senior centers have them for exercise for the seniors as well. I want to get dad up and play some bowling or tennis etc as well. In time I will introduce him to it. He does watch as I play during the day so he seems a bit interested anyhow. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Hi Grandpa Bob. I'm not really into video games like I used to be. I do however have a Play Station 3 that my husband and I got a few Christmases back as a gift for ourselves and the kids. If the games for it weren't so darn expensive I'd probably get more involved with playing video games with the kids. Though maybe taking a break from it is a good thing as I would get too into it anyway. LOL Happy mylotting!

Oooh, lovely! My husband bought me a Wii last Christmas, GB - we had a hoot with the bowling game when the (grown up)kids were here - but I like the WiiFit best. I love having a run around the virtual island ... and the balance games are excellent and fun! Must admit, I haven't played it for a while, but it's terrific, and I must get back into it when life goes back to normal after Christmas.

Our children have the wii, play station 3 and xbox 360. Personally i think that the wii is more benifit to kids than just sitting , it gets them active. Now if you ask my kids they all prefer the xbox because they like to play online against other people and with their friends.
