I am not religious in any way, shape or form. I have a spiritual side that is my own but religious not so much. I celebrate Christmas with my own traditions and would not get offended if someone says happy anything to me. I feel that people celebrate many different events and if they want to offer me some warm wishes, feel free. It is just semantics after all. I do not care what words are used and just am thankful that they thought to say anything at all.

Yes. ppl adjust christmas and make it their own. Some ppl bend christmas rules and celebrate it like that. But dont get me wrong, theres nothing wrong with that!

Yes, we definatly bend the rules... Instead of midnight mass on Christmas Eve, we all sit down and eat a ton of seafood with friends at midnight... We have a big party and eat lobsters, clams, shrimp, musscles, sushi and other yummie foods. We usually snack all night but eat at midnight, much more fun than sitting in mass :)

Hmm... I'm agnostic, but I don't feel offended when someone says Merry Christmas to me. :) I don't know why. I don't mind any religions, as I am open minded, and I am friends to both Muslims, Christians, to Buddhists. So therefore, I enjoy one religions celebration as much as another, though Christmas is most obviously the biggest one. :)

I'm not religious at all but it's Merry Christmas, or if you're not sure whether people celebrate Christmas, you can use Season's Greetings, Happy Holidays to me means someone is going on a holiday and you're hoping it's happy, like saying Bon Voyage.

I don't think most people would be offended by "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays." Those are well wishes and people of any religion (or no religion) can see the warmth behind the words...to me that's the most important thing. Every now and then, maybe someone will try to make a point and act offended, but that's not something that happens all the time. I would say most atheists in Christian countries probably wish people "Merry Christmas" just because the holiday is celebrated by most people there. The religious aspect of the day is very much downplayed.
