And the most of it is little more than dust collectors! But I must admit that I have found some things that Liz enjoys having..like her 50's era japanese import demitasse sets, a couple Carlton footed egg cups, a beautiful pre-war 40's japanese teapot (perfecto!) and a meissen ivy leaf vase..What about you? What are some of the neatest..or oddest..things you've found at a thrift shop?

i LOVE goodwill shopping...though it has been far to long since i have gone! LoL...
Besides the normal interesting and good clothing finds that most people think of, i think my most interesting find, that was un expected was a hamster cage for $2. I was in good will with some friends looking through the store and there it was.....just like one i used to have back when i was living with my parents and had a pet hamster...and only $2!!!
of course i bought it!......and of course that then meant a trip to the pet store for a hamster, bedding, food and a water bottle...which cost me about 10 times what the cage did LoL..but it wa worth it. I have had my adorable pet hamster Mr. Rat now for something like three years. He is getting arthritic and doesnt play or run around near as much as he used too, and sleeps even more than ever, but i still love him!

Ain't nostalgia wonderful?! That's kool! I've read that most times folks buy things like that based on the 'Back in the day..' years. And I'm sure Mr. Rat is quite content with his digs. Sounds like it to me..Thank you much and ENJOY!

For me I rarely shop at the goodwill. When I go shopping its normally for clothes and for that I go to Plato's Closet because its about the same price but I know its all brand name, new styles, and great condition so I'm not shifting through a ton of clothes.
But when I go its normally for small decorative items. I bought a few decorations for various rooms in the new townhouse I just got for while I'm at college.

GIVE BACK !! lol go through your clutter all the things you've obtained from all sources. Sort out what you love, what you need or use and all the things you no longer have a use for yourself and donate it back to the shop that you yourself enjoy so much so other people can give people just as much happiness back!! :D
I love to look through the old belts and bags and ornaments. I found a few beautiful materials there i used as a tablecloth and eventually... cushion covers. I love to create something unique, meshing a few items together to match my style. Goodwill has rewarded my loyalty with a few beautiful brooches and fashion jewellery accessories.

there are certainly alot of great bargain to be had there!! But maybe it is time for you 2 do your part and de-clutter your home by sharing some of your unwanted or unused items to goodwill. It is great to find a bargain but its also a great thing to do with all that stuff that's too good to throw out but you have no use for. I love to check out the leather, jackets handbags belts and jewellery are great bargains and usually fashionably vintage! !!! and RARE!!
