The World Disabled Day is being observed throughout the world. We are also going to observe the day in our school. The significance of the day is to make us aware of our responsibility about the disabled persons. The disabled persons may be deaf or dumb or blind or orthographically handicapped. They may be handicapped by birth or by disease or accident. They are neglected in our society. But we must have sympathy for them and help them work in the positions that fit them best. Thus they can overcome the situation by their strong determination and our sympathy.

What? When? Are you sure this is a world event or something observed in your country? I don't mean to sound like I am a disbeliver.... but I've never heard of it. As a disabled woman myself, you would think I'd be informed of such an event. Yet until just now I've never heard of anything like that.

Which day is going to be World Disabled Day? My toddler son is disabled and he attends a playgroup for children with special needs. My son has got spina bifida and hydrocephalus. He needs catheter care and he can't walk. I have sympathy for all disabled people. Many disabled people are very talented. My son likes music.

I didn't know there's such day existence, is it today the World Disabled Day? Well, I do not think those disabled people are neglected, I think our society does help them in certain ways, but perhaps we need to do more so that it can be more convenient to them to fit into the society. Our company does hire some disabled people, they can do their work as the same as us.
Sometimes I think they may not want our sympathy, they just want to live as usual, as they can really do it.
