Sour milk...

I was baking yesterday and I started the recipe and I walked over to the fridge to get the milk. When I got it out, I noticed the expiration date: 6 days past due. I'd already started the recipe, so I poured it in. I had the idea in mind that if it's cooked, it'll rid it of any bacteria. But then I got nervous about eating it (well, not myself, but nervous about feeding it to my family) and after it baked up, I tossed it out.
Is it "safe" to use sour milk in baking/cooking?

You should have at least tasted it to see if it tasted okay. Then you could have pooped it away and asked on here!

If it tastes sour then I would not use it for baking at all. But, if it is cooked and does not taste sour in the food then I will have to evaluate it to see if it is safe to eat. Usually it isn't safe. I will drink milk past three days or less from the expiration date. Any other time after that, the milk is usually no good. I will just toss it out.
