I do. I started going grey when I was 16. By age 40 I was almost completyely grey. Now at age 51 years, I am white, with just a little bit of grey left. My original colour was dark brown. Premature greying is hereditory in my family, but not all of us inherited the gene. I am by far the worst affected. Do yiou have premasture greying? Is there a reason for it, or is it genetic in your family? Do you colour it?

I have heard that diet can affect hair quality. I dont know yet if there is any evidence that atmosphere changes will affect hair colour.

Atmospheric conditions won't affect hair my friend. But environmental and diet really does affect it. I lived in a remote area at the begining. I didnt have much of the grey hair. But now as I came to a poluted area, I've more and more. Even getting afraid that I may get bald soon my friend.

yes i do,i always have.it started at 15,and i got some weird looks from other kids in class about it,so i started dying it out. it's kind of 50/50 in my family.my brother just now has started greying. i'm not entirely sure mine is hereditary, because i had a really messed up childhood,so that could have accelerated it.

Yes I do and I hate it. My husband and I were just talking about this today. I am only 29 years old and have grey hair already. It's not that bad yet but if I don't do something soon, it will be pretty bad in a couple of years. I am going to have to start dying it soon. I do think it is genetic in my family too. :)

I ne ver hated it. I accepted my premature greying hair early on. I guess as I know hair colours have a good effect. So dont worry.

Yes, I do have premature graying hair right now and it gives me constant bout of depression. I hate this because it feels like I am so old when I am not. The problem is I am still single and my graying hair is really prominent. I am really researching any remedies for premature graying hair right now.

Dont get depression over it please! The only remedy I know of is to colour it. This is easy nowadays, and it may be that you can put the colour in yourself, which is cheaper. I accepted my grey hair when I was in my early twenties and didnt let it depress me.

I have a few grey hair. None of my family members have grey hair. So, I cannot say it is hereditary. I am 20 and a couple of grey hairs have come up. I am not really very worried but I do not want to turn white at 40.

Dont be worried, and if later you are concerned, just use a hair colour.

But I prefer to keep things natural. So, I do not like the idea of coloring hair that much. But if I have all white hair by the time I reach 40, I will have to color them.

Hello, Jenny. I'm very lucky to have no grey hairs at all at 57. My daughter in law hates me, because she has quite a lot of grey. It runs on my mother's side of the family. My mother became very ill with hypertension in her mid forties and she seemed to go grey overnight, but until then, her hair was almost black. My grandmother was fair, but again, she went from fair to a really shiny silver in her early sixties, and that seemed to happen almost overnight. My mother's sisters all kept their colour into their sixties and then went a really attractive, shiny shade of grey, so I'm hoping I follow the family. I haven't used a colour on my hair since my teenage experimenting days, and I always allow my hair to dry naturally, so perhaps that, combined with genetics, is why I'm still a brunette at 57.

Hey, you are very unlicky, and I must say its unusual at 57 to have no grey hair at all. My father is in 76, and he really doesnt have a lot of grey hair for his age. My grey is not the attractive shiny colour, it is more the yukky grey. Although most of it is white now.

i have grey hair already too. I had a patch of like 5 hairs when i was 16. now i'm 28 and i'm finding more and more. I have a few at my temples and now i'm noticing more all over. they are still few and far between enough that you can't notice it unless you are up close. my mom was the same way and she was almost completely grey in her 30's. she has been dying her hair for years. i do it for her. i've been joking that soon i'll come down to dye her hair and then she'll have to do mine.

My step daughter used to say years ago, that I had "silver" in my hair. When I was about 26, my sister in law asked me if I had put silver highlights in my hair!!

I had my first streak of grey hair when I was 19. One of my friend's brother plucked it out and I pleaded him not to do that. If you pluck one, it increases. Now, that's what has happened. I am almost 34, and I have hell a lot of grey hairs already in front... Many people ask me if I streaked it... Ha ha ha.. They don't believe it's natural.

I don't have premature greying. I am 54 years old so it's about time. When I was in high school I dated a guy that was a few years older than me who had grey hair. He was probably in his early twenties and he was almost all grey.

I have premature greying. It runs on my father's side of the family. But I'm actually glad, because premature balding runs on my mother's side of the family!

Yes, I can see what you mean. Grey hair is easily coloured, but you cant do anything about premature balding.

I used to hear that about colours in hair, but I believe the good quality products wont damage your hair. I have been using hair colour for over 25 years, and my hair is in good condition. There is a spray on hair colour, where you can just add little bits of colour to the odd spot of grey. It washes out when you next wash your hair.

It must have just been something odd happening to your hair at the time, since grey hairs have not grown back. Lucky you.
