I logged on a few days ago, after responding to a discussion totally calling out all those newbies who break the rules and post duplicate discussions in their first few posts (I forget who started that one, sorry..I can't give credit where it's due. It was a good discussion!) but I noticed the other day when I logged on and decided to give the "new user" tab a try for finding some discussions to respond to..And I noticed that there were a lot of unique and surprisingly interesting discussions! I was in shock. Do you think that new users and new user discussions are starting to improve at all?

I feel it is more of the same. There have always been some newbies who post interesting discussions and there are also those, who do nothing, but post the same discussions over and over again. I must say, the members in mylot is increasing at a rapid speed recently and many of them are really making a contribution to this site. The thing is, how quickly can we make the new users understand what to do and what not to do. The quicker they understand the, the better the posts will be. Have a nice day.

Nice to see you. I managed to keep both ends. I went to college for a couple of hours and then returned and have been active since 8.30am. I have posted about 20 posts since then. I think I still have an hour to post, so I will just keep on posting and manage as much as I can. Keep going. Have a nice day.

Oh, and by the way, I told my parents that this was a half day. There have been some union problems in my college and that is why I came back quickly. Don't tell them. OK? It is all hush-hush.

Well, I've only been a member for maybe a month and a good chunk of that month, I was missing in action. But since I have been back, I've noticed fewer one sentence discussions. I'm also a weird newbie who hasn't started any discussions herself.

There is no need to start discussions when you do not feel like it. Only if you think there is a good topic you want to share with us, then go ahead and start a discussion but do not start discussions just for the sake of it. It is nice to see someone who has some sense. Thank you thenie.

Thanks for the compliments. I've always been told my common sense wasn't really all that common!

Well I'm new here, starting my second week now on MyLot, so I would not know, But I take your comment as a compliment. I do want to play by the rules. I'm still learning about the interface bit by bit. I haven't even noticed the New User tab. Will have to give that a peak--after tonight.
