ebay shopping

So I just started shopping on ebay, mostly for Christmas gifts. Every transaction that I have made has been quick and flawless until last Friday. My 2 year old son is obsessed with Mickey Mouse so I ordered a container of little Mickey and Friends figurines. It came in a dome shaped plastic caontainer. I recieved my package wrapped in a plastic bag and then shipped in an UPS bag. The entire container was collapsed and crushed. I couldn't believe the carelessness the seller took in shipping my item to me. So I left them negative feedback and emailed them. It has been almost 5 days and I still haven't recieved an email from them. Has anyone else experienced their items being damaged when ordering on-line?

im sorry to hear that, but you also put a blame on the courier not just the seller because they might a possibility that the item mishandled by the courier not the seller, you may file a dispute or claim to the ebay side, did you used PayPal to pay the item?if you did then you can file a dispute either to paypal or ebay

I used to shopping online, so far no problem on receiving my goods. I think sometime the carelessness not only the seller, it could be the courier man to handle the delivery.

Usually sellers in ebay are very careful, and they usually send the stocks, well packed. The reason being, if they get a lot of negative ratings, ebay usually suspends them, and they are banned from trading in ebay. That is why, the sellers usually beg with us to give them the highest positive ranking. I think due to the heavy shopping for Christmas, the sellers could have become careless, and would not have bothered to pack it up properly. I have purchased quite a few thing in online, and till today, I have received them properly, well packed.

So far - I have received most everything in good shape.. With the exception of some posters I ordered from Zazzle that arrived bent. I sent a message to them and told them and they said to just send them back.. (it didn't cost me anything) and They mailed me new ones, and they arrived just fine. On a side note.. Do you shop through any sites to get cash back from your ebay purchases? I belong to a site called BigCrumbs and they pay me cash back on my ebay purchases. (and other retailers) If your interested in saving some money I have a banner for them on my page.. Good luck in the future!

if that's damanged that's maybe the deliever's fault but not the sellers and have you ever opened the package under the deliever's eyes? or the seller may not admit the damage since they may not pack the package for the damage only. be more patience and wait for their response.

That is a very bad experience. I don't really try to buy online. I'm worry about the damage or fraud from the sellers. But in this technology world, I may try to buy one. Nice discussion for me as a new online shopper.
