This is an interesting question, mostly due to the fact that I am trying to phase in a new profession as I phase out and old one. First the old one. I work in the food service industry as a professional Chef, my job is to cook meals for 1-1000 people. Depending on the needs of the day, and to clean up afterwards. I have to make sure all the food is ready to be cooked for specific times some days, other days I have to cook them to short order. It can be a very demanding and stressful job. I also deliver pizza's from the pizza place to peoples doors that is a very interesting job, I will probably keep on the side for a while. The new one I am trying to get a better grasp of, so as to retire from cooking is called - Network Marketing or MLM. You make money doing what you have always done, recommending and promoting products or services that you like. You build relationships with people and teach them about it. And together you can earn a substantial income. If you would like to learn more PM, I will send you a terrific brochure it is about 20 adobe pages long, very short and easy read. Cheers.

You are most right, I have grown to dissatisfaction with my previous line of work. I can't afford to up and quit it at the moment, but I can learn to do something else in my spare time, and that is what I choose. Cheers.

I am a bank teller so all I really do is play with money all day! HAHA That's not true, I do a little more. We process payments for loans, safe deposit boxes, mortgages, cash checks, make deposits of cash and checks, let people into their safe deposit boxes, answer questions about people's accounts, and answer the telephone which tends to ring off the hook EVERYDAY. I used to be a telephone answering service employee like the person whjo first responded, but I wasn't a superviser there and only worked there part-time as my second job. We did mostly sales of certain things but also answered calls for lawyers, apartment complexes, and other services. Nice topic, we get to hear an array of answers from many different people. Happy holidays everyone!

I have two jobs. One is at Macy's (the department store, part-time) and I'm called a "merchandiser". The title is much more glamorous than the job, of course (Doesn't it always seem to be that way? lol) but I'm in charge of putting out new merchandise, stickering things for mark downs, preparing for sales, and taking down sales. It's something I've been doing only for about 4 months now, I'm still relatively new. I like the people who work around me - they're all super nice and pleasant. The job itself is a bore, very physical work. My job at the dry cleaners is an assistant manager role. Which also sounds bettter than it is. I've worked there for a little over 2 years (I'm coming up to the 2 1/2 mark..) and I like the customers I work with. Some of them are incredibly quirky, funny, and sweet. I'm essentially a cashier with some managerial duties. Neither of these are things I anticipate to be doing 4 or 5 years from now. This is not my plan for life. I'm going to school full-time right now to get my undergrad degree. And I'm hoping from there I'll figure out a better career plan!
