Do you think I will hav eto pay for this cable box?

My daughter dropped the darn cable box. The extension running from the back pulled out. Now we can't get it to work. They charge 40 bucks to come out to check it. Do you think if I take it in I will have to pay? Thanks for the help

hard to say-most places will change them out if you keep their service. sounds like you're still going to get charged at least $40 tho.. the chip failed in one of ours but they replaced it without charge...
