I was having a lot of problems with Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7 until my Broadband Provider suggested Safari. It is really quick for searching and finding and much better than Internet Explorer. Have any of you tried it.

You know, I have also been having some issues with Explorer and Windows7. I used to use Firefox and still do on my home desktop (which is still on Windows XP). Looks like I might have to do the same for my laptop if it is an issue and I'm not just imagining things.

I would definately recommend Safari because it is not your imagination I even found Firefox would not go with windows 7 but works perfectly with Vista. But definately give Safari a go it works really well with Windows 7.

That's ironic. I've always thought of Safari as a Apple product. It's used on their iPods and Macs afterall. I'll have to get Safari, thanks for the tip!

although , i did not use safari, i prefer mozilla firefox. it is very good web browser having some good qualities : 1) high speed 2) resume support for doenload 3) huge amount of add ons (none other browser has as much as firefox). so, u can go with firefox.

I am a complete convert to Firefox now, due to security issues with IE. I have also used 'opera mini' when my phone was geared up for internet access. I also have a regime of regular purging of my machine to ensure fastest operation. I regularly run defrag and check-disk, then run 'ccleaner' (free download) to keep the system free of cobwebs, also my PC's have about as much RAM as can be RAMmed in there which helps... I have upgraded the RAM and the CPU of the PC's that I have at home, and they are pretty much as fast as possible on the limited Motherboard that I am running. I have not yet progressed to quad-core, but a have a fast single-core and a quick dual-core..

Hi, buckiem. No, I have never heard of Safari, this is a new one that I have never heard of. I use Mozilla Firefox. And so far it works well. It is good to know that you have found the right browser that works well for you. Having the wrong browser can interfere with your Internet connection as far as browsing is concerned. I hope that Safari continues to work for you.

They said Internet Explorer 8 would work well with windows 7 but it does not and Firefox worked well with Vista but not with windows 7 it seems they produced the new operating system but forgot about the browsers

I'm using also mozilla as my internet browser. It's more faster rather than conventional internet explorer of windows. I have upgraded to internet ver 8.0 but latest version of mozilla is still more faster rather than that.

Chrome rocks..! For speed and nice look, i suggest u to go for chrome. Each tab in chrome is a separate process, which makes it faster. FF is slower dan IE8.
