That special touch

Have you ever noticed that when you create different craft items to give as gifts you always try to ask that special touch to each one.
Recently as I have been crafting gifts for everyone. I noticed that I have been encouraged some how to put a little more in each, be it a scarf, I am making depending on who is receiving it, I've added some fun colorful beads to the bottoms, or how about a new painted candy jar, I've thrown in some candy. It's just little couches but they have made a world of difference in each of the projects.
Another thing I have noticed, I am not keeping the wrapping simple, I have been adding ribbons, special little ornaments that hang off the packages. It is amazing the lengths I have been going to put the best foot forward on each of my gifts.
Have you noticed yourself doing so?

I try to do that as well. I know for my niece I am going to make her a wooden jewelry box and put mosaic stones on it. I am going to add a piece of jewelry in the box as well as spell out her name. She is my owly niece so I want to do something special for her. I am not sure what I am going to make the boys yet. I was thinking about buying a model car and painting cars for tow of the boys and one my nephews likes trains so I may try to find a train I can paint for him. I am also looking for no sew fleece pillows for the boys.

Great ideas you have going there. I hope it all works out well for your gift giving. I am currently getting ready to start working on new ideas for the winter. I normally get started this time of year.
Depending on when I actually get off my butt and get started, I should have all gifts for the family and friends ready to go before the holiday season actually gets here.

Actually, while I make each gift a bit different - a different colour or pattern - I wrap very simply. (Mostly because I do it at the last minute). It would be nicer if I added to the gift, I know. Next year I will give myself more time.

It is great to make everyone feel special through out the year as well. One of my goals for the upcoming year is to attempt to stay in better touch and to send a little something special to all my nieces and nephews for their birthdays. I really enjoy making cards, so this could be that special something.
