Which island or beach would you like to go to?

I love destinations like palm fringed beaches with gently waving palm trees. I enjoy snorkeling to see colorful coral and friendly fish. I have been island hopping in the Seychelles and island hopping in the Maldives? If you had a free trip to any one island which would you go to? Why? Which sort of beaches do you like most of all?

I honestly have only ever been to Galveston Island that had palms and I doubt there are many left since Ike... and those that have since been planted were probably killed this winter when that part of Texas got snow... I was quite taken with the Islands off Virginia - probably because of the horses...

Any island in Hawaii... I love to snorkel. If there's snorkeling, I don't really care what the beach is like!

Hi there Dawnald. I love to go snorkeling to see the colorful coral. I have been snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, the Seychelles, the Maldives and Belize.

Most of my snorkeling has been in Hawaii. I'd love to go see some of those other places...

A Free trip? Possibly Fiji. Its not too far for me to fly. The problem being that Fiji is in somewhat a state of unrest and our government have sent home their representative. Probably not a good place for Aussies at the moment. My next choice would be an island off Thailand, any island that had beautiful beaches.

Yes, Thailand has lots of stunning looking tropical islands. I went to Fiji in 1993 and loved it there. I am sorry to hear there is some unrest there at the moment. I love the islands in the Pacific Ocean.

Hi, maximax8. I would like to go to The Virgin Island's for my dream vacation. I know that I would enjoy this vacation. I have never been to the Seychelles nor the Madives. If I would like to pick one place to visit, especially beach resort. I would rather go to Caribbean or Bahamas. I have not been any of those places I mentioned above yet. I just want to see it myself, relaxed, and take a long break from my daily life.

I saw my friend's photos of the Bahamas. She went there and to Florida as for her honeymoon. She has visited Antigua in the Caribbean and it looks lovely in photos. I like your choices.

I would definitely go to the island of Puerto Rico where the beaches are as beautiful as can be. With the blue water and white sand. Besides the beaches I would go there because that is where my boyfriend and his family live. I miss him so much and wish I could be there already. Hopefully next year I will be able to sell my house and move to the beautiful Island of Puerto Rico.

I hope that you will be able to move to amazing Puerto Rico. I think it is owned by the USA. Therefore a tropical island that is American must be wonderful. I visited French Polynesia and it was like a tropical version of France.

I want to go to Jamaica. I have heard that it is beautiful, and that the culture there is interesting to study. I want to go to Japan for the same reasons...

I would love to go to Wakiki Beach in Hawaii. I've seen pictures..It looks AMAZING! I don't really know all that much about other beaches or islands, but I know about that one. Hopefully I'll get to go sooner or later.

I like these destinations, too. However, I'm always ready to go anywhere, lol. I would like to see the Isle Of Capri, myself. I have always heard so much about it and it sounds very nice. I would also give anything to go back to Hawaii someday. When my parents and I went in 1972, we only went to three islands: Oahu, Maui, and the big island of Hawaii. I would like to see the other islands as well. Kathy.

Hi Kathy. I have heard that the island of Capri in Italy is really pretty. I loved visiting Hawaii but I found it pricey there. I would love to visit some less well known tropical islands in the Caribbean like Providence Island.

Visiting a not so well known island would be interesting, wouldn't it? I would like to visit Christmas Island in the Pacific. I have been listening to a christmas song here lately that says "How would you like to spend Christmas on Christmas Island?" I can't remember the name of it or who sang it. It might be interesting to visit Easter Island, too. It would be interesting to know why these islands are named after holidays, lol. I hope you have a Happy New Year. Kathy.
