Some places are open Christmas Eve while others are closed or close early. I work in a bank and we are closing early at 2pm, and I am so glad. How about you? Do you work tomorrow in an office, a store, a restaurant, etc? If you are working, do you get to get off early?
Happy holidays!

We shut down around noon but this year I decided to just take the day off altogether. We do our family Christmas on the 24th so this way I get to sleep in, get everything ready at a nice, leisurely pace and then head to my parents in a calm, cool and collected frame of mind instead of being a frazzled mess!

Many people have been telling me they are having family get-togethers / lunches / breakfasts and whatnot, which I know many people do... I wonder if we will be busy tomorrow. We were thinking most people were rushing to the bank to get everything done today, but I am sure we'll get some last-minute folks tomorrow as well.
Enjoy your time off! : )

I worked yesterday until 2:30. The place I contract for was closed but the company that I contract with wasn't so if I wanted to get paid, I had to come in. It was kinda weird to be in the building that only had the security guard and few stray workers.
Merry Christmas

I work at Christmas eve and Christmas day. I have to work because I rather make some money for my saving actually. Even though I spend the Christmas eve and Christmas day off at home, I won't do much fun though, so, I rather go to work, and make some extra money though.

I work in a store and we are open tonite but I got it off. I celebrate with the family on Christmas eve and spend the nite at my daughters and we all have breakfast in the morning and watch the little ones open their gifts. Then I am going in to work until 10pm.

Hi Bethany: I am working on a cyber-cafe so i have to be there until 9pm, then I will enjoy with my family the Christmas Eve, it's a little bit annoying but it's my job and i enjoy doing what i do, and i value my job and my boss and of course i know it's important for me to do it. I will not feel sad because i will be at time to enjoy the celebration. Thanks for asking me this question. At least i am not the only one. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays. Take care.
-Alvaro.

Hi, there! My girlfriend is
working at the moment in a supermarket and i am very angry about that, because the people must be together and celebrate on Christmas and Christmas eve, and she must work. I just can't make out, how there is such stup.... people, who are forced their subordinates to work on important holidays like Christmas. I hate those people

I am working in a hospital. And knowing about it, hospitals never close. Unless if there are other significant reasons to do so. Anyways, the good thing about it, I was given a day off for Christmas. I am thankful my supervisor gave me this schedule. I might have been sad if the opposite happened. Though I'm not saying i hate being with my patient. But never had experienced doing it.

people here in quebec work christmas eve some may get off a bit earlier but retailers don't because there are always last minute shoppers. But the day after christmas is boxing day, and that is the day for specials,
people in offices and places like that get the day off.

I don't have my job anymore, but George still does. We used to both work at Pizza hut, and he still does. Pizza hut is open until 8 on Christmas Eve (when they normally close at midnight) And, yes George will be working. He doesn't want to, but if we want to eat we have to. So I'm going to miss him but we get to spend Christmas day togeather (because Pizza hut is closed) which is a bonus for me.
