Hello everyone! Merry xmas and advance happy new year to all! Speaking of new year, here in our country there's a lot of Chinese beliefs that many people follow like putting some coins in your pocket, preparing particular food (12 circle fruits, sea foods, bibingka, etc..), wearing polka dots and many others. How about you?

The tradition that I follow are the ones I received from my mom growing up. She would put pennies on each corner of the windows in the house and have money on you. That is suppose to bring good luck to you when it comes to money. So you will have money all year round.

In Spain, you're supposed to eat one grape on each stroke of midnight to bring good luck in the New Year. It sounds easy, but I only managed 7. Still, 2009 has been pretty good, but I'm practicing already for New Year's Eve, as I'd like to manage the twelve grapes.
