This is one of my rails on my front deck this morning. The snow p[iled on it looks so beautiful. Especially with the lights somewhat buried in the snow. In time I clear the snow as the rails are used for holding onto so as not to slip and fall on the slippery snow. Now I await the next wave of storms to arrive dumping another 4 to 8 inches on top of the 8 to 10 or o I got already yesterday and this morning. How much snow do you have for the Holidays on the ground? HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Hey Grandpa Bob! We only had gotten about 6 or so inches from the storm we had over last weekend. We still have quite a bit of it left on the ground, but there are only traces on the pavement where it wasn't fully cleaned. There are still quite a bit of ice patches though! We are supposed to be getting some rain tomorrow night. But, that will all depend on if the temps don't drop below freezing. Today was in the 30's for the first time in over a week. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what they are tomorrow. Right now it is almost midnight (which means Christmas Day) and it is 29 degrees which is the warmest temps we've had lately!

hi grandpa Bob nope no snow in Southern ca just some sunshine and cold, for us, temps here.am looking out the window at the sunshine and the back side of a vietnamese grocery store, we are here in the Little Saigon area in Garden Grove. these people are most friendly, the hardest working people I have met, and the sweet way they take c are of their own parents and grandparents is just wonderful. you do not find any Vietnamese people here in Gold Crest. All elderly are taken in by the grown up children. really quite nice. but I do miss the Christmas snows we had back in South Dakota a lot.

Our temps are above normal. That's one reason the flakes are so big here. It is about 30 right now. But this weekend we will be getting down to single digit temps at night again. I wished more kids took care of their parents as I do for my dad etc. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

about 4 inches of snow I think so far, we are expecting a snow storm on the 26th, I am not worried though because I will be okay in my house. I have no where to go on the 26th.

Hey Granpa! How are you doing? I like how you took that picture of your lights. Well, here in our city it didn't snow around Christmas, it just rained. However now it's snowing outside. Pretty cool, huh? I'll catch you later. Read, relax, reply.

You wouldn't normally think of Nevada as being particularly snowy, but when we went to visit my dad for Christmas, Fallon was actually colder and snowier than Lake Tahoe. Frost on the trees, icicles, new stuff for me! :-)
