Wouldn't you rather be at work goofing off?

Goofing off at work - No work done - goofing off

Instead of being caught up with all these madness for preparing Christmas dinner. Or this one last errand to pick up from the store? Or the last minute shopping? Wouldn't you rather have someone do it for you? And just come home all done and ready? If I were at my job now, I know there'll be no serious work being done. Everybody's just walking around making small talk. Or just goofing off!

I was at work, but my work is an in home aide for a fam member, I didn't have to help but did just a bit. lol. Goofing off? Yea I'm sure in normal jobs people would be goofing off, doing whatever they wanted, since surely there wouldn't be much work to do.

I didn't have to work but I did. It wasn't all that bad. My husband and I personally don't host the holiday get together's or really help all that much. When we have our own place I'd like to host a few, but I'm sure I'd be getting in way over my head, lol! Well I am glad your more at ease now, and New Years isn't nearly as bad I don't think. I guess it depends on how you celebrate it.

Sorry about you having to work. But did you at least have a great Christmas when you got home? Sometimes it just gets too tiring when you're in charge of everything. And making sure that Christmas is merry. Now, I am more a little bit at peace, because it's all done. I just have to worry about new year now...

Hi bounce, I am loving not having christmas over here and have now got out of everything this year as the gossip down in the village has me in Turkey for christmas with the Greek, you couldn't make this stuff up really, so there is not a thing to do. The shopping today in town was exactly the same as normal except that one shop had introduced chocolate covered raisons which was a first. Actually I could use them as a bribe now with my son to get a coffee made.

Well thea, you've got it made. However did you manage to get Christmas not in your place?! As a matter of fact, I am staring at a trayful of chocolate covered raisins right now. I'm still contemplating diving through it. Or should I consider the chocolate covered peanuts on the tray just beside it.

Please don't talk about chocolate, I've just eaten my raisons. My ploy worked and I now have coffee made by my son who is in delight as has never had chocolate covered raisons before and can't believe I only bought one packet. I love not having christmas, it's not a big thing here at all except with some ex pats. Nothing but commercial stuff and nonsense in most places. We are enjoying our anti-christmas.

I don't work actually. Well, yes I do. I am my fathers caregiver and he lives with us. SO I am home all day long. Therefore I am and do goof off all day at work. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Hello Granda Bob! You're already one up from me. As you can goof off anytime, even when you are at work. I work in an office part of a manufacturing place, so there are a lots of people goofing off. Yesterday, I think I did not see anybody on the floor hard at work. A lot even went home early, including me.

I would have definitely loved to skip over Christmas preparations (except the shopping, I love that.) But the cleaning and cooking and decorating I could live without. Unfortunately no where I worked was open on Christmas - and I didn't have to work on Christmas Eve. But i wouldn't mind the time and a half pay!

So you did start answering my discussions... I guess that's one of the advantage of working during the holiday season. Some days you get time and a half. Thanks for responding.
