Thanks Karthi_88. You kind of give me the chance to recall the precious memory of gifts. Compared with most people grown up downtown, I'm not the one received as many gifts as them and the gift I received is not as expensive as theirs. But I still enjoy the moment I got the gift and treasure it even now. when talking about gift. It's a long story. When my parents married, they had no completely owned assets but in debt 500 used in wedding. 500 was a big amount when most people's monthly salary stayed at 90s. However, my parents tried and worked very hard. Life was turning out to be better and better. They still feel sorry for my childlife even now, for they think they didn't earn more money to offer me better nutrition and better growing environment. I don't have too much memory about life unless my thirsty toys. I had dreamed to own toys so many times but dream never came true untill 6 years old. Yes, that sounds different from what I said before. But remember I said brand new toy before. The first time I owned a toy was secondhand, not bought from a senondhand shop but one of father's friends. The friend had just have a baby at that time. He bought some toys for his baby, though he knew it would take long time for his baby to be old enough to play with toys. I fell in love with the doll at first sight, held it , without any interest to leave at the end of the visit. Finally, Dad gave up to take the doll away, he said sorry to his friend and paid him 10 just like make a secondhand deal. I jumped with the doll and jumped along the road home. Now not hard for you to imagine how well I would treat the doll. Surely, no matter how careful I treated it especially for a 6 year old chirld, it went to broken after some time. From then to my 11 year old birthday, no toys. Had made an agreement with Dad, would get a staff toy on my 11 year old birthday. On that day, as soon as I went back from school, i jumped onto Dad's motorcycle. We stated to buy my dreaming gift. At last, we came back with a staffed rabbit. I was so happy that I didn't think there is any need to have luch any more. During the following days, I slept with it, talked with it, ate with it, completely sucked in. Now it still sits in my room with some transparent plastic bag protection. I will keep and treasure it forever.

I got a stuffed lion one christmas when I was still a child. I tip-toed to the living room early Christmas morning and there was a lion under the tree! It looked very real to my young eyes, and I was scared. I ran back to my bedroom and hid under the covers. My brother had to come and carry me back to the living room. I still have that lion, and that is my most vivid memory of a gift.

Hi noner says: sounds like a very sweet memory. It must be a cute lion you had and what's better is that this toy not only make you remember when you were a child but that you have this gift with you today. Good for you. Thanks for telling us your own story. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays. Take Care. -Alvaro.

waht a lovely story! Reading it made me smile. I can imagine a little child was scared by a stuffed lion. Your parents or brother must feel fun and worried. They must hope to give you supprise at the very first. But children's view is different from the adults. Still think you're a lucky dog. I didn't have a brand new staff toy completely owned by me until 11 years old. Before that I was thirsty for toys.

Dear Karthi!I do not want to be too sentimental but I cannot help this thought coming in to my mind. The greatest gift I ever got is this life which is so sweet and enjoyable to my last breath with the wonderful wife and a great daughter. I just cannot imagine a situation living with the most misunderstanding woman had the God has gifted one of that kind. And God has been very kind to me to let me have such an adoring princess as my daughter. When you get married to a girl of your dream you will understand how true I am. Wishing you all the best. -Bala

It was of course from my dad. it was the most awesome thing you could ever have, an xbox 36o.i mean common, an xbox 360 !!!!, what else would you ever want. tons of games including the whole halo saga that is still going, especially because of halo reach. not to mention modern war fare 2. even better when you have xbox live. don't listen to what people tell you, xbox 360 rules not just because of games but xbox live can have almost anything you would ever want, movies, music, games characters.just saying it i'm pretty sure you want one, would you ever want one ? so yea my dad bought me basically my life right there, not to mention i bought it when it barely came out, for $400.00 !!!!! plus like 3 games. i love my dad and for that i thank him and all he has ever bought me.

I'm sorry my friend. Sure, it would've been too painfull. I've lots and lots of friends. The gift given by each one looks special to me. But I too have a special gift given by a more special person to me. It was a doll, a homemade doll. The specaillity in the doll is that, my beloved made it specially for me. That too the situation she asked me to open it was, when I was a bit angry. Even the gift packing was done by her. Even I've the gift packing safe with me. As she asked me to open it when I was a bit angry over her, I opened it. It was awasomely beautiful. I could feel the pain she took to make it for me. I dropped a tear in atmost happiness. Its one of the most memorable time and the most memorable gift for me. Take care my friend.
