Sometimes we would like to ask for the memory methods, it can help us remember some knowledge easily. On the other hand we should learn how to forget. It is not easy to do too. My friend often be bother by this kind of thing. He can not forget some bad or disturbing things and can not sleep weel. I told him to relax, but it is not easy to do. What do you deal with it? How do you forget?

Greetings kevinll , Imo, you have posed a good question here. Some things should be forgotten, others should not be. If one remembers a sin they have committed, it is of course best to bring it before God. In fact, just thought of it, maybe this can be simplified. One can bring the matter (sin or not) before God and have God decide if it should be forgotten. In the case of your friend with bad or disturbing things, we are encouraged in the Word of God to think upon that which is true, pure, honorable, good report, lovely and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). Focusing upon that will help us to forget the bad things sooner. It is best though if one commits to Christ so that Christ is in that person and that person in Him. What happens, over the course of time per Romans 12:1-2 our mind is transformed to think more like Christs'.

Hi, there. Well, i think it's impossible to forget because everything we have seen or experienced is stored inside our brain. Sometimes, we simply can't access information from our brain and so we 'can't remember' the information. Okay, enough about how the brain works. Well, it's never easy to forget about those distressing things and it's not wise to block them out because they'll come back and haunt you. The best way is to face them and to meditate. :)
