On 31st Dec and 1st of Jan..we find it very difficult to have the tickets of the movie you want to see...and if only 1 movie is good among all the theaters then most of the rush is going to be there...so we have to make it sure in advance that we get tickets in time..or your fun of the movie watching program will vanish...if you are not getting tickets and you have to compromise over which one to watch...though I very rarely go to theaters to watch movies...i am going to book tickets 2 days in advance...have you done this..or planning to do ??? Movie lovers will agree that its too disappointing when you have made up the mind and you dont get that particular show or that particular movie....what else you do if you don't get ticket at all?

Usually, you will be able to get the tickets on 31 st December evening and Night show, the reason being everybody will like to enjoy the new year, with their families or with their friends either in a bar, a hotel or in your own house. Usually I have found that tickets for even new movies, are available on 31st December. So I think you will be able to see the movie of your choice on 31st.

Hi eshaan, the same situation here. We couldn’t get any ticket if we try to book it before the movie starting. I understand that how depressing it’s if we fail to book the ticket for watching the movie which we keen to watch at that moment. This also will turned my happy to be rather low the whole day as well. Therefore we usually will book the ticket a day before I like watching movie when visiting my son who lives in other state, for I can book the ticket earlier online. Here in my place we don’t have such facility and we have to get the ticket at the ticket booking counter in front of the theater. Yeah, it’s rather inconvenient if compared to that in my son’s place. Take care and happy posting

First of all, I only try to book tickets in advance for a movie if I have to go watch it with my family. Otherwise, I don't try to hurry up things so much as I always have a backup plan as I decide earlier that suppose if I miss out on the movie due to tickets being unavailable, then I must go to carry out my another activity or plan already to go other place to enjoy and then catch up with the movie later at leisure!!

Hello eshaan me too often do earlier used to watch a lot of movies in theatres with my friends. But didnt ever tried to watch an movie on 31 dec or 1 jan, better prefer to enjoy it with my friends among the crowds of Mumbai.Mostly i go for an movie and get the tickets in current bookings, or get he movie tickets in morning for th evening shows.Even sometimes go for buying some black tickets at an higher rates. But once it happend that even in black we weren't happy witht he movie ticket rate, so decided to buy its cd and view it at an friends house.Well the CD cost us aorund 2 k something way back before 2000.The movie was KNPH, the starter for hritik roshan and amisha patel.Never would forget such an experience, while watching movies.Anyways wish you luck for your movies, Happy mylotting.

Yes I will, especially on days I considered as peak hours. However, I would like to point out that if you book tickets online, you might want to read through the terms and condition. There was a time when something happened at the cinema causing the screening to be stopped for that day. The management told us that we cannot get cash refund and were only allowed to change our movie tickets to another day. Although it may sound reasonable, but me and my partner weren't really free at the period and we actually had a hard time trying to squeeze out a time to catch the movie together. So I really thought that such arrangement weren't flexible enough.

Actually, I rarely go to theater to watch movies.:( If I m not getting tickets for the day, I will not get disappointed. I will made up my mind to watch it on other day. I know some of my friends, who will be crazy of the hero, want to watch the movie on the first show itself. For that they will book tickets one week prior to the release. I will be wondering about these type of guys.:)

in depends on what movie I want to see.if it's a movie I am really interested in I will book a ticket in the theater to see it.I am willing to spend money on movies I think are worth it.in 2010,I will spend some money to see The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus,Case 39,Eclipse,Jonah Hex,Iron Man 2,Legion,and the Chronicles of Narnia:Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

hi eshaan, We sometimes do that, advance booking is very smart thing to do especially if you're gonna watch a "big" film or film that is so popular and all was eager to see on the cinema. We experienced lining up more than 2 hours on a ticketing booth just to get passes. It sometimes eats up our time so we usually change plans and it's a bit sad because you're expecting to see a film you like. So, better get movie ticket/passes in advance especially if you are on a date.
