My notifications have split personalities... should they be institutionalized??

This morning I noticed that while I get the MAJORITY of my notifications in my inbox, I get them from time to time in my junk mail box. Before anybody thinks I did anything purposely, I know I didn't because for instance some days I'll get 7 or 8 notifications from the same person and most of them will be in the inbox except ONE which shows up in the trash/junk. Does this sound odd to you? Do you get all your notifications? WHERE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE?

I honestly ended up turning off my trash/junk mail box on my email because it seemed like all of the important mail that I received ended up in my spam box and all of the things that I didn't need ended up in my regular mail. I'd rather have it all in one place and look through it and sort through it myself than to have to search for an email that I know I should get but I haven't yet seen. I honestly think that the program that sorts emails is severely flawed.

I have set up a filter so that they all go into my myLot inbox. Works pretty well so far...

this happens to me every once in a while too. i am not sure why. it happens more often with the daily digest then with notifications. i am always in my junk mail all the time so for me it's not a big deal. but it can be a bit annoying.

If you currently added something to your profile on yahoo or where ever you get your e-mail it may have thought that it was junk. I updated my profile and then stuff started going in my junk folder. I just went in and changed my settings on junk mail to accept all, then the notifications started coming in and I would mark them not junk. Hope that helps.

Yes, it sounds odd!!! I know it's NOT odd as it happens to me also....ALL the time!!! It happens so often I've learned to check my spam folder several times a day just to see who I missed. I may go a month with everything coming in as it's supposed to & then BOOM...in one day I'll get 4 maybe 5 that go into the spam folder. When I read them, I see NOTHING that should trigger the spam patrol. I've just learned that it's going to happen & to watch out for it.

Almost all of us have this problem of not getting all the notifications. This type of bug and many more were discussed here by Alice. Please look into that.

When I had yahoo that happened, but since I switched to aol it doesn't happen anymore. I don't know if it's the email service, or mylot, but the notifications I do get, I get in my inbox. I don't know that I get all of my notifications though.
