I don't have one, but just being inquisitive--do you keep a personal diary of secrets?

I keep a journal, but its not really full of secrets. I write about my mundane life, and occasionally make collages in it and such as that.

Creating a visually attractive journal or diary is an excellent idea!

Yes, keeping a journal of events is a good thing! I always try to keep diaries of journals, but always fail to maintain them :(

I have been keeping a personal diary since I was like 6 or 7 and I still have one even until today. I think it's important because I can rely to it whenever I need someone to listen to me and I can't find one so I'll just let out all my emotions and feelings through my diary and after all of it, I'll feel relieved.

Hi, anurag2009. No. I don't anymore. When I was younger as an teenager, I used to keep an diary all of the time. I had about 4o 5 of them. I would keep tablets and I would write my daily thoughts in them. It was fun and I kept it private and hidden from others to see.

yes, i have the habit of writing a diary. when i have a secret, i am not willing to tell anyone even best friends because i think once i tell a secret to anyone, that will not be a secret any more. so i only write it in my diary. when i have secrets, trouble or sorrow, i will write a diary. after that, i will feel a little better.

I do not keep a diary but sometimes when I am troubled I will keep a journal, which is a diary of sorts...and write down my feelings and thoughts. This often helps me to sort things out and something about putting them in writing helps me to make clearer decisions. It also helps me to see where I may be repeating the same patterns in my thinking, which is a good tool especially if there are things about yourself that you want to change. I do like to write too so that helps.

I keep a journal that I write in every night. There's some personal stuff in there, but I'm not really worried about people reading it and spreading my embarrassing secrets or anything like that. I mean, it's already happened once. I was mad at first, but eventually I decided that whatever secrets I have, I'm not ashamed of them, and it's a bad mark on their character if they pry into my personal business. I like writing about what's going on in my life and how I feel at certain times. It's very therapeutic.

I don't believe in diaries! Why harbor your most secret secrets in a book. I have a good memory, after all, I was there. What if you're on a date, things are going well, and she asks to use the bathroom. Accidentally, she stumbles across your diary cleverly hidden under the lid of the toilet tank. It could happen. Women know things. All of a sudden I'm a victim. Her and all of her girlfriends know about my awkward high school years & some college stuff I'd rather not drag out on dates 1-3. That's how internet marketing got started. No thanks. Too risky.
