It is high time the BCCI started looking into the pitches that are on offer.Either they are batting paradises or ones like Delhi. There has to be a lot of sporting pitches for the betterment of Indian cricket as a whole. There must be something for both batsmen and bowlers to keep them interested and for new talent to come forward.

The same issue arised 12 years ago in Indore when India and Srilanka played and even now the problem has not been addressed. The kotla pitch received severe criticism even during the Champions league match and I still wonder what is going n the minds of the Delhi pitch curator and DDCA. I think its the fault of BCCI to allow these elements to escape without any severe penalties. What would happen had the player been injured due to the Landmine characteristic of the pitch and who could have faced the consequences. With these kind of things I think that Delhi may be stripped of its WC hosting status if there is a ban of 24 months is imposed on the ground.
