Well, my dog has been quite used to stay alone at home since she was young, as we have to go to work during day time. She is fine staying at home alone, she can find things to play around and have fun by herself. When she grows older, whenever we come back, she's waiting for us at the gate. My dog is like part of my family too, I treat her as my child, especially when she was just a puppy, she's really like a baby.

i HAVE 2 DOGS at this time. When I go to work etc. they stay at home alone when I'm gone. They have to learn quite time. They r pets not babies or old people that have to be cared for, although at times I treat them like that..

Yes, often my dogs are left alone when we have to go out of the house for whatever reasons. They are usually pretty trustworthy so as not to destroy the house.. LOL Mainly it is the knowledge that only a crazy person would try to rob a house with 5 dogs in it.. that makes me feel good about leaving them home. We try not to leave them for very long periods of time, as they need to go out and relieve themselves.

I don't leave my dog home alone often, but when I do he don't mind.He stares out the window til I come back.He stays quiet,I know he's quiet ,because if he wasn't my neighbors would complain about it.They tell me he's quiet,so that's good. Most of the time I'm home, because I'm in search of a job.

Yes. We used to have a black and white dog whom we named Puddy. When we had to leave the house, we tied her to a tree inside the gate so that she would not get lost. And she would have enough food and water until we got back. She could pee there, and we just cleaned upon our return.

I had a dog when I was a boy and it wasn't necessary to take more care of it, in that time we feed dogs to protect our properties in country, and the dog could sleep outdoor and sometimes it could hunt frogs or birds. Yes, nowadays people feed dogs as pet, and it's more inconvenient when you work or walk outdoor for a long time but let the dog stay at home.

Hi shivamkapila! Dogs are indeed man's best friend. If I go to work, I really have to leave them behind. They are on their own so I leave them food for the whole day till I get back home again. My dogs are well behaved so I don't worry about them messing around. They are very good dogs and I love them. Happy Mylotting!

It is necessary for me to leave my dog home quite often. It is rarely for more than 8 hours at a time though, so I bought him a large kennel (he is still a puppy and not quite house trained yet). He is a very good dog, but I cannot trust him to be running around the house without supervision yet because he chews on everything (and still pees on everything too).

Yes, dogs are truly man's best friend. I love dogs ever since I was a kid. We have a pretty dog, and her name is Whitey (she's obviously white), and we seldom leave her alone for a long time or else she would get scared and hungry and would whine a lot. She doesn't like being alone, she could sense if the whole family left or if someone is present.
