Hi everyone, just silly a question: Can you remember just 2 years ago when country was the "black sheep" of the music world. I remember hearing people say things like "I listen to every kind of music, except country." I think it's terrific that artist like Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood have made it "cool" to be country (Of course, if we live in a perfect world, people wouldn't care so much about the packaging and finding what's "cool", they'd just listen to whatever feels good to their ears).

haha =D TO me, country music and songs are great!! Too bad, there are not many ple out there, whom appreciate country songs!! hehe ^_^ And it's very rare to find country singers now, especially when they are not widely recognized as that genre of songs is not popular among alot of ple.. haha =D BUt how carrie underwood and taylor swift came to being popular, is because they changed their genre of songs, before reverting back again.. lol =D

I don't think it's a silly question at all :) People seem to say that a lot... "I like everything except..." I was never afraid to say I like country music :) I do. Not all of it, just like I don't like 'all' rock or 'all' pop or 'all' of anything else. I just like what I like and I'm open to about anything. I enjoy Brad Paisley a great deal, I like Rascal Flatts, and a few of the older country acts, too. It took me awhile to warm up to Taylor Swift or Carrie Underwood because I often find their stuff more "pop/country" than country... but I do sing along when I hear them now :)

Yes, I remember when country was the "black sheep" of the music world, but I didn't let it deter me. I have always liked country music since being a teenager - in spite of people putting it down. I don't listen to music just because it's "cool"; I listen to whatever feels good to my ears.
