Surprising compliments from bosses?

Have you ever gotten a surprising (yet I felt to be undeserved) praise from your boss at work? I recently got one from one of my bosses at Macy's, who said that I was "doing a great job" and that's why they decided to offer me a regular, instead of just seasonal, job. I was so surprised because I feel like the most clueless person EVER in retail. I've only been working in the "field" for about 3 1/2 months and half the time I second-guess myself while working. I was in shock, but it's not a BAD shock. lol.
What about you? Have you ever gotten an unsolicited compliment from your boss?

First off , congrads on the promotion to full time regular. It's funny you would think your clueless in your job, because you must be doing something right, or they would not have offered you a permanent position. As for your question about being praised at work when you didn't expect it, I think that happens to everyone at some point or another. Sometimes its deserved, and other times its just because your good at what you do, and your just doing your job. In either case take it when can get it. When you boss thinks your doing a good job its always a good thing
