PTP forums with too many rules?

Do you ever notice that a lot of places seem to have too many rules? That you get reprimanded for? The one thing that I really, really like about MyLot is that if you do something wrong - for example, make a duplicate post or ask a question that's against the rules ("How do I earn on MyLot?"), you don't get reprimanded for it - your discussion just gets deleted. (I would imagine unless you're a serial spammer, in which case, maybe your account gets banned? I wouldn't know lol). But most other PTP sites I've been a part of don't share this same philosophy, they tend to message you, give you an "infraction" or warning just for something stupid like posting a duplicate discussion. *shrugs*. What do you think of this? Do you prefer one system over the other?

Yeah, the rules here in my lot seems the same with the other sites. But the imposed penalty is much lesser than to the other sites. Deletion of discussion threads are actually a better one than banning the member for life. I would prefer to have my earnings fluctuate a little every now and then due to this ruling rather than banning my account.

Hi maezee, I like MyLots way of doing things, it is better just to have your discussion deleted than your account banned. Also on her even if you break the rules unknowingly, there is always a member here that will tell you and point you in the right direction. That is what I like about MyLot nearly all the members will help one another out.

I don't really like the forums that get all up close and personal and keep tabs on you. I'd rather try to figure out why my post got deleted than be told, "You're a very bad boy and on the way to being banned!" Actually, I've never had a discussion I've started be deleted on myLot anyway...my replies have been lost as collateral damage a bunch of times though.

I think the PTP forums need to have those because they have got a good search system. So there's no need actually to start a duplicate thread. And there are not many threads in each section, so finding a particular thread is easy. Here in MyLot, there are so many discussions that starting a duplicate discussion is not that hard (and you might not even get caught for it).Further, if a discussion gets a response, it does not come up to the top, as it does in the PTP forums. But yes, there are some unnecessary rules too in the PTP forums, like the title of the thread should be in a proper manner.I think this rule is useless. I don't mind the infractions I get the the forums(even though I received very few).Actually they will make you more careful in the future.
