Aaargh! Teeth Gap!!!

I have a gap in between my two front teeth. It's not that big, but I notice that it is getting bigger and becoming more noticeable. I don't know what can cause this but I'm getting really conscious whenever I smile or speak. A friend suggested that getting braces would fix the problem but it's really not in my budget right now. I've seen other people having this same problem, even celebrities. And it really doesn't look nice. How else can I fix this thing?
