A woman went to sleep with her 5 month old. Rolled over on the child and killed him. Now she is free to go on with her life as the baby is now dead. The police said it was an accident. I feel people should not sleep with small kids. This is already known to kill them. Should she be held responsible for the killing?

No she isn't to be held responsible for the killing. If she is having a baby it makes no sense that isn't going to sleep at all. surely it was an accident and the pain baby's mother is going through only she can understand...After all it was her child

I have to agree with you here. She is in a world of pain. She lives around the corner from me. I have not seen her yet I just saw it on the news. Thanks

I'm sure the Mom is already in grief. It's carelessness (to put it mildly). May be she should be educated instead of imprisoning her? Imprisonment wont really teach her a lesson about being careful. This is some of the things people SHOULD know but didn't know. You can never be too careful if you don't think before you do something. She should have been sent to do social work or something for her fault and have her take a Parenting lesson.

I know she is in her own hell right now. That may be all the punishment she needs. Thanks
