How often should a man/women wash his/her hair?

I personally feel disgusting if i don't wash my hair every single day. Just rinsing is definitely not enough. But that could easily be a matter of conditioning. However, i could easily imagine that such frequent shampooing could be damaging my scalp.

I wash my every single day and still remain the way it is. After washing i add hair cream in other to maintain it's black nature although some people believe that too much washing reduce hair color and length but i do not agree with them.

Imo, I would not do it every day. Like the other respondent noted, I would not want to lose essential oils. Plus, you have the right idea. It might not be that good for our scalp. One thing to consider though, along with the shampoo, is the water itself. If one lives in a city there are chemicals in that water. How often do I wash mine.... I'm afraid to say.... er, don't hit me please--once a week.

I like to wash my hair with shampoo and then condition it every morning. So I wash my hair once a day. When I am staying on a tropical beach I wash my hair twice a day. I like to feel clean and fresh. It is horrible when a person has oily looking and dirty hair. I like to use shampoo with mint and tea tree oil in it for a tingling and refreshing feeling.

According to some hairdressers you should wash your hair every other day according to others it should be everyday. I personally wash mine everyday as I like to feel clean. The only problem with washing it every day is it can make your hair lose essential oils.

Hi. I wash my hair every day because I a living in a tropical country The war weather causes sweaty and smelly hair and scalp. I shampoo and condition my hair every day if I have to go out of the house. But I only use shampoo every other day if I am just staying at home. Instead, I just use conditioner on such days.
