I am sure that a lot of us here are excited about the coming year, 2010. We already have plans as to what to do on New Year's eve and New Year's day. Most of us are probably ready to celebrate New Year. But I am just curious, what excites you about the coming New Year? I am definitely excited about the food.

I'm looking forward to making lists of all the things I've done this year. For instance, I've read 90 books, filled 10 journals and notebooks, and seen 11 movies in theaters. Then all my other accomplishments like graduating high school and starting college. I like thinking about how much goes into a year. I don't think they fly by at all. As for celebrating the New Year, for some reason I really feel like going to bed at 10:00 and just waving it by or something. lol I don't much feel like celebrating this year.

I am quite looking forward to new years eve, I am having a few friends over for some drinks and nibbles and so it should be fun. In the past I have not made any plans for new year with having children and when they were little it seemed like too much hard work to look after them and try and party!! Now though they are all older and so they can join in and it should be good!

Hi there gemini_rose! I think that it is definitely fun to celebrate New Year's eve with some friends and what makes it more fun is that your children now can join in. Have a wonderful new year ahead!

There is a small New Years Eve party next door at the A N A F (Army Navy Air Force) club next door, so my husband (a Viet Nam Vet, so we are members), and I will probably go there to ring in the new year. It's right next door to our apartment building, so we can drink as much as we want! LOL

I have mixed feelings for the coming new year. There isn't any much excitement to look forward to as this year bad economic situation has been a great challenge and will the new year bring yet another round of sufferings to everyone? The sharp increased in oil has almost paralyzed the business world and if things are not going to improve it will hurt everyone's pocket further. Lets pray and hope the wind of change is blowing stronger to normalize the situation. At least we all can afford to put back the smiles in our faces.

Well, obviously, I am very excited at the thought of getting up at 5.30am on New Years Day to go into work for an 8 hour shift... ... at least I'll be paid at time-and-two-thirds for the day. Hope you have a great time celebrating with all your favourite foods

Well, it's one night of the year I guess and it can be exciting at times. I don't have any major plans for the new year, I'm still working on the old ones! I have a few goals that I would like to achieve but it isn't that easy when it relates to finance! I guess I will take in the new year sitting in front of the telly! I may also dig my electronic keyboard out and start tinkling away! The food aspect is good although I'm trying to be careful in this area as I would like to lose a few pounds around the waist! I think I'm going to begin this New Year with lots of cycling, pushing myself to the limit as it were! The year has gone by so fast and I sometimes ask myself what happened! Andrew
