I am just curious, I wonder which seat will be safer. The front seat or the back one?

I am curious my friend as to where the seat is or what seat you are referring to? A seat in a car, a seat on a train, a seat at home or even a seat on a rollercoaster? To be honest it doesn't matter, it is down to fate, you could choose the front seat and if fate has something nasty planned for you it will be just as dangerous to sit in the front or the back seat and alternatively if fate is good to you it won't matter what seat you choose! Lap of the Gods or the hand of fate my friend.

Here the fate is the same, unless it is for different class.

As you have asked as front or back. I prefer for back seat. Its safer than the front. If you see the accidents, the damage will be mostly on the front. and rarely in the back.

In a car?For young children they say it is the back seat. I guess the back is better because the front seat can cushion the impact in a crash.

One day when we took a taxi, the driver asked my son to sit in the back seat. So perhaps the back seat is safer than the front one.

it is often said that the seat BEHIND THE DRIVER is the safest !! .. but of course, provided everyone wears their seatbelts, and the impact of the collision, is not TOOO strong.. by theory, the driver, when trying to avoid collision - on impulse - would try to save him/herself, and therefore would usually turn the (steering) wheel (and with that the car), where the 'passenger' would normally get hit first..

yup you are absolutely correct, the seat behind the driver is the most safest seat. We cannot blame the driver, its natural to behave like that.

Morning, youless. It is an interesting discussion of yours to me. I still remember that when I was young, I was told by my colleagues that the safest seat on a bus is the last second row of seat on the right. The reason for this, I guess, is probably it can avoid being hit from either the front or the back. This is what I guess. Have a good day, youless.

i think the back ones are safer. in most of the traffic accidents, the people on the front seats are easier to be hurt. but we all know that if you sit in the back, you'll feel jolty, and easy to get faint. so many people choose to seat in the front.

With the naughty children behind the front seat is safer. And with the naughty husband in the driver's seat the back seat is safer.

If you are driving, the front seat. If you are riding, the front seat. If you are sleeping, the back seat. If you are thinking about driving while sleeping, the love seat. If you are short, the car seat.

The back seat has always been considered to be safer. That is why we are advised to put children in the back seat. Whichever seat you sit in, always be sure to wear the seatbelt.

I think the back seat is the safest. This is because the front is equipped with air bags. In my opinion the air bags do a lot of damage in an accident. They give third degree burns. Children aren't supposed to sit in the front, until at least 12. This is safer for them.

The back one is more safer.there are some statistics, that in most car incident, more people are hurt badly on the front seat than those back seat.it's also impotant to have your safe belt.

According to me, middle seats are safer. Danger is high in seats behind driver, if some vehicle hits in front. Also, back seats are also not safe, if some vehicle hitted us from behind. So, I think middle seats are safe.

Back as long as you are directly seated behind the driver coz driver won't hurt himself and unconsciously, he'll be saving himself. Survival of the fittest.

I think that the safety of the seat depends on the size of the car, and the skill of the driver. A larger car will fare better in an accident than a smaller one, and a good driver will make the entire vehicle safe, whereas a bad driver is liable to get one in an accident.

I am a bit confussed about what seat, whether a car seat or a cinema hall seats. If car seat , then the back seat is more safer than the front ones. While if talking about cinemas, the front ones are good especially the balcony section.

I would think it would depend on the vehicle and the situation. To be honest, I really dont know for sure. Airbags can be dangerous in their own rite. Even seatbelts are not always the best answer. You can get stuck inside if they lock. I would have to say that it would depend on the car, situation, and the person. I think that each situations is different. In a vehicle you are supposed to wear your seatbelt, and follow all safety precautions. If you do that, than its supposed to alot you the safest ride possible, no matter where you're sitting. Let's just hope we never have to find out. dl

hi happy new year youless. I must say either way is dangerous, but I must agree that the back is the safest because in the front you have a more danger of being ejected from the car and with these airbags although supposed to be safe can pose a threat in an car accident. but it also depends on what side the car has the accident on because if it is int he back your closer to the gas and may be harder to escape or if hit from behind you can be smashed into the front seat.
