The technology is changing very fast. Every year many new things added because of the development of technology. Many things disappearing from our day to day use.
When we are saying goodbye to 2009, we can see that in the last nine years many important items disappeared from our daily use. Some items are gradually disappearing.
Some important items disappeared are cassets, VCPS and the cassets, floppys. Bulky radios of AM mode replaced by the handy FM Radios. FAX machines almost disappeared from our daily use.
The Flat and Bulky Television sets are vanishing very fast.The LCD Televisions are going to take the place in the reception room. The old film cameras is going to vanish very fast. Likewise many things.
Many political parties vanished, Many languages vanished and many species of birds and animals vanished from the existence. Without our notice many words are disappearing and new usages are taking place.Even our life styles are changed over the years .

I often spend time thinking about this as well. I always reminisce of those times and it makes me realize how much older I have become.My siblings and I would often talk abut the things that were common during our childhood and my mom would often tell a story about how "empty" they were back then. There was even a point when they had no electricity and they only used a car battery to run their lights and appliances. Also, whenever we clean up the house, we will often find dated gadgets like the film cameras, polaroid, cassette tapes, etc which remind us of how far the world has come and how old we have become.. :(
