I just did a quick search on ebay for "unwanted gifts" and, surprise, surprise, there are many. I did feel sorry for the person who had at least half a dozen identical underwear sets; 4 or 5 copies of the same book; a few bottles of the same perfume..... they obviously have a lot of friends/relatives who dont know them very well - or, do you think maybe they might just be their excess stock & they're pretending they were gifts?? surely not??
Did you have anything you're going to sell on? I didn't.... mine are all staying.

I have a slightly used pair of leiderhosen that I wouldn't mind offloading. I really thought I'd get months and months of use out of them, but once you've role played "Mountaineer in distress" a few times, the novelty kinda wears off. I'll be asking for bids from 10 bucks, but I'm happy to trade for anything from Czechoslovakia.

Leiderhosen eh? Did you find that your "Mountaineer in distress" only attracted dogs??? All I have from Czechoslovakia are stamps and postcards. Maybe, if I ever get to do the Prague trip, I'll find something more interesting.... though, I really dont have any need or desire for the leiderhosen

I am very glad I dont have that problem and I have never experienced such. If ever something similar would happen to me, I think I wouldnt sell them. I would probably just give them out to those people whom I think would need them more than me. I think that way is nicer and better for my conscience lol. Also, if ever the person who gave me the gift would learn about what I did, they wouldnt feel bad because at least I made a good use out of their gift. I dont want wasting gifts so I would rather give them out to those who need them more than I. :D
