How you got your spouse

Hi yugasini garu I am married since 30 years and my marriage is an arranged marriage through the marriage brokers. In those days love marriages are very less. Even if any body loves some body they are looked upon as if they have commintted a big sin. Now we are the proud parents of two grown up children and still living happily loving and respecting each other.

Hi. I'm not married yet but I do have a girlfriend. We met in college and we were both in our college's cheering squad. She's a flyer and I am one of the lifters. It's sad to hear that some marriages are arranged. But tell me is it true that as time passes by you will learn to love your husband or your wife even though didn't love him or her before you guys got married?

Mine is Hindu Traditional marriage. My father gave my horoscope to some social worker woman and my in-laws gave my husband's horoscope to some other social worker woman. These two women were friends and they matched the horoscopes that were in their hands and informed my in-laws. They came to see me first, liked me and then my husband came to see me. Then my marriage took place.

We were both working in the same area and he later told me that he was watching me everyday and just wanted to know who I was and finally he managed to get a common friend who arranged for a meeting at a friend's place. I liked him and he had ofcourse always liked me he says he followed me for atleast six months. Afer knowing each other for a while and dating for six months we got married.

I recognized my wife through internet, we chatted for several weeks later I got her cellphone number successfully, and the next I called her often. We are come from same hometown so I invited her to taste hometown food, at that time we saw each other and fell into love. I love my wife very much and we cooperate well, we all believe our love last forever.

My boyfriend and I is not married, but i love telling people how we met. He came to my door, since he works with the company that owns the building i live in, and he needed to paint my balcony, so i let him in to do so, and we got to talking. right then and there i was attracted to him, but i really didn't think i would see him again, so i didn't look to far into it. The next day after coming back in from outside with my dog, he was on my floor and he came to talk to me again, (i'm sure i went blood red in the face lol) and we got to talking again, and he asked for my number, so i gave it to him, and told him i was going out of town for the weekend, and he said he'd call when i got off work the day i got back. Later on he found me on FB and we talked somemore while i was out of town, and the Monday i got back, i couldn't wait to meet up with him. He asked me to be his girlfrind the next date!

i met my wife at work. i filed a resignation a month earlier and a week before it, she came as my reliever. we usually stay longer hours at work because i need to turn over my task to her properly. im in charge with the payroll so its a very delicate job. and when im already working in another company, we tend to talk over the phone if she has some queries and often times we end up talking about ourselves instead of the job. happy new year yugasini.

I'm married 26 years, had a few rough years, things appear to be looking better. My friend Noor, arranged marriage, loves her husband and wouldn't be without him. I guess it can work either way. Congratulations on your marriage being happy!

I had met my husband while still in high school and we saw each other for a year after I graduated. He asked me to marry him and I said yes. Seldom in the US are marriages arranged, so I did it as most people here in my country do. For me, it was a love marriage. Happy New Year blessings to you. Karen

I don't have a spouse yet but I still want to contribute to this discussion so I'll talk about how I meet my current boyfriend. I actually met him at a college party nevertheless. I was actually engaged at the time so we became friends and talked a lot but nobody ever said anything about the other liking the other one. Finally me and my fiance at the time started to have a ton of problems and he left for boot camp for the Marines and so the current boyfriend stepped up and was there for when I needed him. Let's just say when the ex-fiance got out of bootcamp we were broken up and I got with my current boyfriend. The weirdest part of all though is the fact that the boyfriend went to my high school but we never knew each other until college.

I met my husband through an internet dating site eight years ago. We were together for about two and a half years before we got married and now we've been married for the last five and a half years. We knew immediately when we met that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together and just waited until the time was right for us to actually get married. We were very much in love on the day that we got married and the love between the two of us grows every day.
