Hey, I'm new to work experience (in Australia) and I want to know: How do you get a job? I've been sending letters and emails but no one is replying, so let's say I phone them. What am I meant to say? What information am I meant to give them, and how do I do that? How do I send in the forms and all that? Any information will be highly appreciated, thanks.

My daughter went down the route of getting a good CV done - she included everything including voluntary work done while at school. My son is only 16, but his CV is already impressive, as he put emphasis on things like helping with the lighting in school productions, his paper round etc. Next, they both went to Yellow Pages/local firms, sent a speculative typed letter and copy of resume to various companies - asking about vacancies. My son has yet to hear, but my daughter got 2 jobs using this method!

My ex-Girlfriend worked there be she worked for a Thai restaraunt. I mean, I think you need some connections there or you need to look for jobs on the local paper and try to do good in your job interview. Wish the best of luck for you and hopefully you get a job soon.
