Today I accessed my paypal account and checked the balance..Soon after the signout , I received the message from Paypal that my account has limited access and I can not withdraw any fund or send any fund from my account...To rectify that I need to change the password , I need to change the security questions and also should verify the bank account...Still I did not do them so far as I am having little confusion with that..Because, my cousin also has received the same mail, when we tried to check his account also...It seems they are sending the mail to all of the members once they logged into their account..What about your account?

When you receive email from PayPal make sure you directly open PayPal site (not through email). Mine is under investigation, completing what their ask in resolution center. If you don't send the claims within 90 days then PayPal will frozen your account like my PayPal.

I am not sure of the procedure or time limit for resolving this issues. Thanks for bringing this to my knowledge and I will do it very soon.As they have mentioned all the issues in the account panel itself, I think the mail is not fake one. Also they have not asked to follow any link to change the password and we need to enter the PayPal URL in the address bar for our safety. It seems that we can not do any transactions till we resolve all these issues other than receiving the funds to our account from the others..Thanks for your response to this discussion.

I have withdrawn the fund already to my bank account and I am not doing any other transactions from my Paypal account..I don't have any other activity from this account so far other than receiving funds from the online sites..Also I just entered the Paypal URL in the address bar and after singed out of my account, I received the email from them..When I tried to check the account back, I had the notifications regarding the limited access in my account page itself. They have given the resolving procedures also there...To check the account of my cousin, I asked him to check his account also..He also received the same mail from them..He has not received any fund from them also. He is having just $30.00 in his account which he earned from the online sites..It seems they are making some changes in the system now...Thanks for your response.

it is fine with my Paypal account, but i think this is a kind of phishing email to capture your Paypal password. usually what i will do is just ignore the email and keep an eye on my paypal account from time to time. And also please update your virus protection tool and have a thorough scan on your computer. It might infected by some spyware or trojans.

I used to receive at least one email in a week asking me to verify the paypal account and as I am aware of these phishing mails, I will never care about them. But now I am having these notifications in my paypal account page itself and also I am not able to do any transaction from my paypal account.Only thing that I can do with my account is , I can get the funds to my account from the other sites. That's highly irritating me much.Though I have the balance, now I am not able to transfer the funds to my bank account also.I have been given some options to remove the limits. But still I did not do them as I am not having much hope on such notifications.I will do them in the next week depending upon the reply that I am getting from paypal authorities that I am receiving. But in most of the cases, they are not replying well. Also I am not downloading some other anti virus and anti syp ware software to check if there any spy ware available in my system as like you have mentioned. Thanks for your response to this discussion.

you should verify your account to lift the limit in paypal, use your card to get verified.

I think you may not have verified your account. You need to verify by giving your credit card details for which they initially charge a small amount but they return it back as the verification process is over.

After receiving the mail, I thought of the phishing mails only. But when I entered into my pay pal account, I found the same notifications regarding the access limit in my account also.I can not do any transactions from my account except receiving the funds to my account.I need to give the proofs for my address /photo and also reenter the bank account details to remove the access limit. But I have already mentioned the bank account details and received the paypal account balance to my bank account. Then I don't know why they are asking my bank details again and again.I hope this problem will be resolved very soon.As I am having more than $250.00 in my account, I am not able to ignore this also.Still I need to receive lot of funds to this account. Thanks for your response to this discussion.

I have never ever received an email such as what you are receiving. I do get email from payopal, letting me know there are funds there. That is a legit email, but I think what you are receiving isn't from paypal. Sorry to say, there are poeple trying to steal your identity and take your money. I wouldn't fall for it, whatsoever. Usually, you will know if it is from paypal or not. I had received som funds from a site that went into my paypal, and it was from paypal, as I saw it in there. You really have to be careful, as if it doesn't look legit, then just delte it and not do anything. I get spam email all the time, and I know that it is, and I just delete it. I have been scammed and spammed before so I am very aware of anything that comes in my email that doesn't look right to me. Well, anyway, good luck to you and happy mylotting.

At first I thought of these emails are only from hackers. But when I entered into my account by typing the URL in the address bar, I found the same notifications in the account page itself. But even then I did not change any information regarding the password or the security questions so far.I wished to send the email to paypal authorities. But they will never care about the customers queries and I am having such bitter experience in the past. They are the worst in this issue than all other payment processors. Also, if they have the option of PIN entry for our transactions as like the AlertPay is having, then hackers may not be able to do anything with our account. But they are not implementing this also.Let me send one email regarding this to them. But I don't think they will reply or respond. Thanks for your response to this discussion.

I haven't gotten an email like that, but the one time I had a question, I called them and they were very helpful with me over the phone. If I got one of those emails, I would call them and ask questions over the phone.

I used to receive such mails very often. But as I have been informed by the fellow mylotters already to not to follow the links given, I will never follow the given links. I will just enter the url of Paypal in the address bar and will enter into the account..Now I am having the notifications to change the password and security questions and also to link the bank account in my account itself.Till I change these things, I may not be able to do any more transactions from my account except receiving funds to it. I have now decided to send the support ticket to them regarding this.Depending upon their response, I will change my details. But they will not reply in most of the cases. This is the only irritating issue with paypal. Thanks for your response to this discussion.

Hi, I'm currently having the same trouble ever since I sold a baseball card on eBay, the guy already received it and left positive feedback but it still says I have to resolve that issue with a tracking number. I tried to go buy something with funds I had in my Paypal account and it wouldn't let me, it said I had limited access so I checked it out and it said I had to verify my SSN, send a copy of a photo id, a copy of a bank and credit card statement. The only thing I thought might be the issue was my best friend/room mate let me put her bank account and CC on my Paypal because I haven't receieved my new bank account information yet. The rep at Paypal said she didn't believe that was the problem at all. So yesterday, I had to fax them proof of address and so fourth and they haven't got back to me yet with an answer after reviewing the documents. I want my money! It's insane, I have 100% positive feedback on eBay, I've never had any disputes as far as being a buyer or seller, I always pay for items right away and ship out items I've sold right away too. What got me was they want a tracking number for 1 baseball card, I put it in a business envelope with a regular stamp because it was light enough, I told the rep this and she said once he left feedback it should say that was resolved, but it isn't. There was no way in hell I was buying a tracking number for one common baseball card, c'mon let's be real here. When your account has limited access you can receive money but you can't use your money as far as buying or transferring it, you can't change your information with Paypal either. I hate looking at my money but not being able to have access too it, especially when I've done nothing but play by the rules and I'm being punished for something ridiculous. I was already a verified member and they said my room mates bank account wouldn't make a difference and now when I make my opening deposit on my own when I get the card in the mail I'll be lucky if I can sort this out since I can't even add it to my account since I can't edit anything. I got an e-mail about an hour ago saying they received all the documents I faxed over and they usually get back to people in 3-5 business days, I hope it's sooner than that. I'm sure glad when I sold cards on eBay I had business envelopes and stamps because otherwise I didn't have access to my shipping money I charged for. Somethings on the Internet can never be easy so let me tell you if you can't resolve your information/account yourself than contact them asap! The lady I got was very nice but she couldn't fix anything over the phone which I hated. Good luck and happy mylotting!

Your case much sad that without violating their terms in any way, you have been affected like me. At least you have sold something. But I did nothing except purchasing the upgraded membership in wordlinx.com,That too nearly three months back. After the purchase of the membership package, I have once transferred my account balance into my bank account also. They said nothing during that transfer or even after two months of my transfer. Now they have limited the access.Though I have the balance, I am not able to do anything with my balance. Now I have stopped withdrawing the balance to my pay pal account from the online sites also.Because of this, now I feel highly insecure,as we can not believe the online sites also. They may go offline at any moment and these sites are not supporting alert pay also.IF they are supporting alert pay, I will withdraw my earnings to my alert pay account. Now I don't have the option for that also.I am also having the option of sending the photo id, bank account details or credit card attachment with the account. Now I don't like to continue with Pay pal at all. After withdrawing the funds, I should think of the alternatives...I may not able to work with mylot also as mylot is not having any other payment processors.I hope we both will get our problems resolved very soon and I thank very much for your supportive response to this discussion.I have now little confidence in this issue as I am not only having this type of issue. Thanks again.
