Year 2009 has been filled with so many shocking and devastating events that writes in the book of history. In the field of entertainment it's the death of king of pop Michael Jackson. In politics the triumph of President Barack Obama. In health and Science the outbreak of H1N1 influenza virus or known as swine flu. There's also the one of the greatest human tragedy the tsunamis of Samoa and Sumatra, the typhoon Ondoy in Philippines that kills millions of people and destroy livelihood and infrastructure.
For you what's the most shocking and devastating events that happened this year 2009?

For me the election of Barack Obama shocked me because in my mind a black can't be a president of U.S.A, the majority, white people would dislike a color person to lead them, but American people is great, they allowed a black president, not depend on his skin, but depend on his heart and ability to lead them.

I'm not an American but I followed the story of Pres. Obama. And I'm happy that he's given a chance by Americans to prove his capacity and ability to govern the people of the USA. It only shows that discrimination is no longer exist. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

Yes, American people have a widely mind at racial issue, it's a result of diverse culture, and all kinds of people, whatever which colors they are, all put their ideas and endeavors to this country, because this country regards them as it's citizen and trys to protect them.

For me,Y2009 is an unnormal and busy year.
there are two great affairs happened to me:
I bought my own hourse while the 5 years long hourse renting life went to the end.
My wife got pregnant,so I will be a father.
