Can i delete my Gmail account?

i have three active gmail account and now i want to close two of them permanently or delete it permanently by which others can use that username.
and all the mail history want to delete from web Can it possible? if yes then How ?Please step by step explain me .

Yes its possible. Use the delete button to delete mail history. Go to the settings, permanently delete the account.

Yes you can delete your gmail account by goig into setting option in gmail account as well

Not only gmail we cannot delete our email IDs from any of the other services. They are for keeps. There is one way however and that is if you do not activate that ID for a certain period of time it is said that it automatically gets suspended.

I think that is a tough task to do! You have to collect informaton about all the linked accounts to that email id.
- If you have any other accounts like job sites, discussion forums, daily updates, etc. Make sure you get all those information and transfer the same to your new account. Notify everyone about your new account.
- Important mails should be transferred because they also serve as proofs.
-Contacts, drafts, etc should be transferred.
- You can close the account by going to settings page and its easy to cose account that to transfer data!!
