Animated profile pictures / myLot

I wonder how some of you have animated profile pictures. How did you do that? I tried uploading one (GIF) but it seemed crashed. Is there a specific number of posts that I have to reach to be able to upload an animated picture for my avatar? I'd love to hear from you.

I tried to upload an animated avatar and it didn't move.I don't know how that works,but I do see others with one on mylot.
