Yes I am smiling at those of you who are now singing. You know who you are. To my dear FB friends - you've already seen a preview of this. 2010 is on its way, tonight in fact. 2009 has been a real hodge podge of pleasure and pain probably, for most. Thing is, there's always more than one way to look at a situation. I have never been as tired of all the people down on the economy, raving about politics and the government, the economy, jobs, housing, did I say the economy? Did I mention the government? TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD. I know times are tough. I know people are paranoid and worried. But what keeps you going? What makes you ALIVE? It doesn't matter how small it is or how big it is, what matters is its importance to you and its place in your heart. I know there is something good in your life, no matter what. Share it with me. Tell me why. We are all blessed in some way!

LOL! Well, it was supposed to be a personal something but I guess your children count . I was just so fed up with the people who are depressed about everything lately, even Christmas and the new year! I had to combat it with something and you know cheery people are targetted by humbugs. I'm about ready to go out into the world screaming 'happy happy joy joy' just to see what reactions I get.

Go for it but if you see a bunch of guys in clean white coats coming, head for the hills. Actually, if you do perky and cheerful really well, maybe you should try out for Wheel of Fortune!

you are right all that stuff is going on. like you i try to see things in a different light. complaining about everything only makes it bigger. i rather focus on the great things that are going on in my life. my son about to finish his second hear of college. My second son lost over 40 pounds this year and he is looking great and feeling so much better. My wonderful baby girl turned 5 and had the best princess party ever! i am working out and dropped 15 pounds myself. i still have my great job and i am so happy. I am gonna get married this year. life is great. of course there are things i can complain about, but what would be the point.

What keeps me going and happy is avoiding, as much as possible, anything that is news The economy has sucked before and it will again. Politics are politics, nothing changes. We elect people then are shocked that they are not the person we thought they would be. Same old, same old Family is the best part of living, people need to enjoy that and the other simple pleasures of life and stop worrying so much about things they have no control over

How funny, ME TOO! I try to avoid if at all possible - NEWS and anything about POLITICS! Amazingly when I corner and capture those things and hide them in the dark - wow, presto, LIFE IS GOOD ALL THE TIME! I have done this for as long as I can remember, so that means I have had 35 years of relative PEACE. I wish this peace to everybody else, especially those who are scared and paranoid. It's easy, let me help! Just like the whole climate thing, there are ups and downs in life. Always will be, people ought to stop thinking about the natural ups and downs as veritible catastrophes and accept them as normal lol. Politicians are never who they tell us they are, and they never do what they promise, and they promise things which are unattainable anyway. Nope, that never changes. Happy New Year to you =)

This past year I can think of two things that were really good in my life. The first thing is my family. They are always there for me and I'm always there for them. When any of us are feeling down, we have the support of a great family to help us to get back up and to move on. The other thing in my life in 2009 that was really good was the fact that my husband, children, and myself were able to move into our own house for the very first time. I understand that the situations that allowed us to have our house were not positive for the man that had to sell his house, but we jumped at the opportunity and we are now able to provide things for our children that I had once only dreamed about.
