i know KFC is a fast food in america. for people live a fast life and have no time to cook, then they go to KFC. that's not a good choice but they don't have other better choice. but in china, people like KFC, they go to KFC not because they are busy and have no time cooking, on the contratry, when they have time, they go to the KFC with their children. i think because it's fried chicken, different from the traditional chinese food, and tastes good, many people prefer to go to the KFC. the fried chicken is nutrient, i don't know why people like to go to it so frequently? how's the KFC in your country?

Hi rose, fortunately we don't have that fast food chain over here. I think the idea of people ordering a paper bucket of food made from goodness only what type of rehydrated chicken is rather gross. I cannot imagine anyone who has the choice between dim sum and fast food chicken choosing the latter from choice.

lucky you. you never have to encounter that AWFUL smell. and there's always a queue out the door. I can't think why. if the ethics doesn't put you off, SURELY the smell MUST.

because it's so popular. I can't think why.

@Galena: A queue out the door? Why?

It is absolutely terrible. The menu is incredibly basic, the staff are always miserable and muck up your order, and the chicken is terribly cooked (the meat is dripping with grease and the skin is soggy). I know it's only a KFC, and I'm not expecting 5-star dining, but at least they could TRY to put in some form of effort

Well said Mr. Kennedy! I have the same problem where I live. The food is just simple. By this I mean they have an order on the menu for barbecue chicken. What they do is take the fried chicken and poor barbecue sauce on it. I have seen them do it a million times. The same with sweet n sour or honey mustard. They do just what they have to. Just enough to make it edible. The way these people are dressed is shocking. Half of them have long hair that's not in a hair net as stated in the health regulations. None of them have the same out fit or uniform. THey are wrinkled, overly filthy, and not very professional. I am talking about the manager as well. They man handle the food and never put utensils or anything in the bag. Kfc is a very good example of what you're not supposed to do. From what I've been reading in the responses, it's no different in countries thousands of miles away. There's a new chicken place that I have seen sprouting up all over the country. Its called Crowns fried chicken. Delicious! I hope you all get a chance to try it!. dl

I think that KFC in a America is still pretty popular. I think that people appreciate that they now have healthier options now to. My husband and I ate there a few weeks ago. I think that they have pretty good food, and the new healthy options are great. They are a little bit more pricey then regular fast food places, but you get what you pay for.

it is more pricey than other fast food, bu its circumstance is better too. so mamy people prefer to go there even they need to wait for the seats. that's why we always see many people lining up before the counter in the KFC.

I live in Florida (USA), and most of the KFC restaurants here are pretty good. However, I have been to a few KFC restaurants across the Southeastern U.S. that were not too good.

For me, it's somewhere in between. The food is not that all impressive but it does not disappoint either. I am crazy about the gravy though, that's for sure!

I'm from the US and can not stand KFC (most fast food for that matter). Don't get me wrong, I like good fried food every now and again. KFC - to me - doesn't fall into the category of "good food".

The few times I have tried KFC the chicken was extremely greasy, had a lot of fat on it, and it tasted as if it had sat under a heat lamp 1/2 the day. Also, the batter had no taste to it. If I'm going to eat fast food fried chicken, I eat Popeyes. I haven't eaten at a KFC in over 10 years and probably will never eat at one again. Right now there is nothing on their menu that appeals to me that I know I can get from another restaurant and have a better experience.

Hi Sedel. I wonder why you don't like KFC, because most people do. Any justification or testimonial?

yes the KFC is greasy but i think every kind of fried food is greasy. i think once you like the fried food you'll know that they are greasy. and by the way i don't know what the popeyes is. is that another fast food?

Well, the KFC in my area should be far better than what it is, and it is not. My boyfriend and I have banned KFC for bad service. We went to the KFC in his area one time and they screwed up out order so many times that we decided to send a nasty letter to the company and we have been telling people not to go back until they fix the way they treat their customers.

In America fast food is a life saver. Families are on the go and most of the time have no time to cook. For some KFC is a way to try to keep a full course meal on the table. Its chicken, mashed potato, corn, and bread. There are other choices as well. Some consider it better than McDonalds, Wendy's or Burger King. I must admit that I HATE KFC! I don't like the way the chicken looks or is prepared. I am a chicken connoisseur. I make great friend chicken if I say so myself. I dont like the way the chicken is slimy when you remove the skin. Fast food is a miracle for some families. Its a favorite for kids. I think that restaurants in different countries try to keep it as similar as possible but they probably put their take on it as well. You must remember that fast food restaurants main focus is to get people in and out with a meal that is filling, and great tasting. They have succeeded. It will never take place of the family recipes or home cooking. dl

Kfc in my area isnt doing a very good job in any aspect of the business. THe employees are rude and very improperly dressed. The tacky and lazy way the food is prepared is yet another. All the chicken starts out as a peice of friend chicken. If you want a type of sauce, they pour it all over the chicken. Even the manager is dirty looking. I've been in the retail and fast food business in some aspect for most of my life. So believe me when I tell you I've seen it all. In all the different stores and restaurants Ive worked with, KFC has to take the cake. They do the minimum and no more. If you walk into a place and the place is dirty and the music is blaring, food looks as its been sitting there for weeks maybe months, GO somewhere else! Happy Eating dl

it's a little different here in china, KFC as a fast food is not very cheap. many people prefer some traditional chinese fast food (such as buns and fritters) than KFC.

Yes, in my country, it's seems almost the same as well. Not only families likes go to KFC for a meal (so are the students) as kids like fried chicken, students, too like to go KFC because they offers student value meals. I don't really perceive fast food (especially fried food) as nutritious but KFC (like the other fast foods here) have added new items such as salad to appeal to a more health conscious group. I like KFC more previously because the crispy fried chicken is very spicy as well. However, nowadays, I tasted more flour from the skin and less meat (because of the chicken parts given). But I do recommend cheese fries for cheese and fries lovers because it's the only fast food only that have this item and also once in a blue moon, KFC comes out with special items such as Hot Wings, which I think are very nice as well.

Hello! What's in the salad? I have watched in the Today Show and have read in magazines that though salad is always perceived to be healthy food, it isn't always. Some salads just have equal or even more calories than a regular fried chicken. It really depends on what the salad contains, like if it has croutons and a lot of cheese and dressing, it isn't healthy at all.

I haven't really tried the salad so I am not sure about what's really inside other than the greens because the cost of the salad was almost the same cost of the fried chicken. I don't really go for salad unless it is Long John Silver where it goes well with their chicken fillet and fries and the cost is a dollar more. Thank you for sharing the information else I will be still thinking of eating salad with those items. Shall refrain from doing that. Happy New Year~!

the salad here concludes salad dressing and cheese. so i never eat salad in the KFC. usually when i want to eat salad i make at home. you just need go to the supermarket and buy some sause and the vegetables or fruit you like. that's more healthy!

KFC here plays great and people loves its chicken. Maybe because its chicken tastes great and not-the-usual chicken we eat regularly, people loves it and enjoys eating at KFC. They sell great in the market.

there was an issues about KFC before here in our country but people forget about that and now, KFC is one of the best fast food like Jollibee. Because of the chicken you can choose between original or hot chicken and people loves to put gravy in there rice.

Here usually it is quite crowded in the KFC and McDonald's. Children like it and therefore the parents will go there with their children. Besides, it tastes well and it is not bad to eat it sometimes. At least it is cheaper than having a meal in the restaurant. So it is a good choice for the fastfood. I love China

Hi I am from India and we have KFC very near to wher I stay. Whenever I go out with friends, we make it a point to atleast have a snacker from there. the chicken there is irresistable and we go there with family too. On weekends, it is very difficult to get near that door...I once saw some people getting into an argument out of frustration of standing in the queue. When we have guests from abroad, we take them there and to my astonishment, people from US says that chicken from the KFC here tastes better! I dont know wht they add, but to me it just looks plain chicken and salt with corn and egg batter on it, still it is amazingly tasty.

here in china the KFC never serves the rice or pizza or something you said served in philipines. maybe because in the south of china, people eat the rice everyday, so the KFC thinks there's no necessary to add it in .

I love KFC in the Philippines but I dont like the KFC in Kamloops, British Columbia Canada. The chicken was small, I was expecting it to be in larger size since white people are bigger than asian but I was disappointed. The service crew is not friendly too, I was asking for a gravy and she told me its for sale and I have to fall in the line again in a rude way, can you imagine that just for a gravy? KFC, Philippines serves gravy with the chicken meal you buy and if you wanted more you can ask politely in the counter for free.
