Why should you chose a best response to close unresolved questions?

I know you can chose a best response and I guess it is mainly to keep the quality of answers up and to motivate the best writers. But are there any benefits on mylot to chose a best response or to be chosen as a best response? Does anyone know what the rules about this are?

hi taraelocin well I do know this that we are paid for what we post so if you do post a best response you get paid just the same as if you posted comments, or responded to others discussions or made some discussions. we do get paid for what we ourselves post. also it is a nice tribute to a fellow mylotter when you give him or her the best response. just do it and do not worry about it,its easy to do and fellow mylotters will thank you for your effort. the rule is simple you are paid for what you post, not for what anyone else posts, so no you are not paid f or our responses to your discussions, you are paid though when you make thoughtfulcomments to our responses.

I don't think there really are any rules, besides the fact that you can only choose one. . I don't think there's an extra incentive for getting the best response (or giving it), but I really can't be sure on that. I've always looked at it as a way to thank someone for their time & the effort and thoughtfulness that they put into writing the response.

Thanks, I thought that's the deal. I got a few ones myself and it felt nice. Thanks.
