Is TNA Headed In the Same Direction WCW Was Before WWE Bought Them Out?

Examples of this is old wrestlers headlining the cards such as Sting,Kevin Nash,Mick Foley, and now Hulk Hogan. Hulk Hogan recently just signed with TNA. TNA soon will air a show on monday night(i'm not sure of the name of the show)competing with WWE Raw. That also happens to be the night when Hulk Hogan will make his first appearance on TNA. To try and out do TNA WWE will have Bret Hart on Raw as the special guest. Finally after 12 years Hart will be Back on Raw. To be honest I didn't think I would ever see Bret Hart on WWE television again minus his Hall of Fame induction speech but from what i've heard he will be on Raw. I rather watch Raw that night over TNA. Back to the name of this discussion though. Does TNA look like they are making the Same mistake WCW was relying on too many old wrestlers to draw ratings. I'm not sure about this as I don't keep track on TNA and rarly watch it but I know some older wrestlers are a main part of the show.

hi elmiko.
i think tna won't go the way of wcw. it is true that a good number of the tna roster is made up of formwe wwe superstars but i think some of the old reliables at tna can hold a candle with theri former wwe counterparts. also, if anything, i think jeff jarrett, dixie carter, and those who are handling tna have learned from the mistakes made by wcw and they'll be foolish for committing the same mistakes.
like you, i haven't followed tna regularly and have mostly followed tna online. anyway, hopefully, we the new additions to the tna roster, tna gives a better show and because of this, wwe in turn puts up a better show also and we wrestling fans benefit from this.
just some thoughts.

i heard tna is trying to make joey styles their biggest star. hulk hogan from what i've heard works with tna but won't be wrestling. i don't think he can due to past injuries. hes more in a marketing approach position within the company. he says he wants to make joey styles as big a star as himself and ric flair. i have never seen much of joey styles wrestling in the ring. i have seen some video of him and people that have worked with him say great things about him.
